I'm glad to hear that. I think I unlocked every galaxy in the fountain (?) in one sitting of about an hour, getting several stars in just a couple minutes. The boss battles so far are cake, I was a bit worried. The increased challenges you're talking about in the 2nd half of the game should make it so much more rewarding. Tomb Raider 2 for PS remains one of my all-time favorite games just because it was so f***ing difficult.

No I understood what you meant. maggsmaggs used KW's reliance on gut as a criticism. But you're saying if KW relied on stats instead of his gut, he wouldn't have assembled the 2005 team which won the Series.

B>W what do you think of Galaxy? I got it last weekend. It's already the second-highest rated game ever on gamerankings.com. I'm really impressed by the gameplay and creativity/originality, but I'm finding it way too easy so far (I have about 20 stars to give you an idea of where I am). Hopefully it gets more challenging.

I think you should go with the ornament as it is thoughtful and not over the top. But better make a backup plan a la KW. Plan 1A: Guiness Plan 1B: Michael Flately DVD Plan 2: corned beef

If it makes you feel any better, Britney's christmas song is on my holiday playlist

Christmas Time by the Darkness is one of my favorite non-traditional Christmas songs, and it's really fun to play on guitar

Well then I guess I don't go by House's theory of mechanics. Star pupil Nolan Ryan has a totally different arm action than Prior. Here is a quote from our resident scout: QUOTE(BureauEmployee171 @ Nov 11, 2007 -> 03:44 PM) Mark Prior - Notice the throwing elbow ABOVE the shoulder - this puts MASSIVE stress on his shoulder. Also notice his excessively HARD landing on his front side that is about to happen - this put MASSIVE stress on the elbow: http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images/p...ior-Posters.jpg Why is this so bad? #1 It puts too much stress on the shoulder, #2 You must bring your elbow DOWN from where Prior's is to come thru the throwing zone with any kind of velocity - creating elbow strain & a "flat" path to the plate (Notice how his elbow has "dropped" to get into the throwing zone - causing elbow stress & a "flat" pitch:) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/t...Mark_Prior1.jpg And here is a picture from Prior's USC days, worse even than the pic Bureau posted:

Prior had poor mechanics even at USC, so I don't think Dusty is to blame

Haha, sell "high". Marvelous

I'd rather the Sox spend money on anything else. Signing their top draft pick, international operations, more chevy pride girls, etc.

Garland may be 5th in AL in QS's since 2005, but he has had more opportunities. You can argue there's something to be said about his reliability and maintaining the health to make all those starts. But he has never ranked higher than 6th in QS% since '05.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Dec 14, 2007 -> 06:19 PM) Wow. Denied. Ouch, didn't see that coming. I got denied too Willie. Also got denied by Michigan even though my dad, mom, grandfather all went there and have donated thousands of dollars. They even mentioned that in my rejection letter, it was a kick in the oblongs. You'll be fine

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 10:38 PM) Lincecum has serious injury concerns, ask any scout. No he doesn't. Mark Prior has serious injury concerns QUOTE(2nd_city_saint787 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 10:58 PM) god yes, i got dibs on being the leader of the reggie willits fan club....it shouldnt take that much to get him with there addition of hunter You clearly haven't met Beautox

QUOTE(Chombi @ Dec 12, 2007 -> 12:25 AM) Not quite sure what you're getting at there. Maybe his splits over those years, which aren't bad at all. If that's the case, so be it. Otherwise, his trends aren't exactly good and his last 30+ games last season he got pretty touched up. Something to think about before you say the guy had no research and false claims. QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Dec 12, 2007 -> 12:25 AM) I guess it would...but Linebrink's ERA+ is on a 3 or 4 year trend toward not as good isn't? So even if Perry didn't look up the Home/Road splits, I think he could still be right here. Has nothing to do with trends. The quote clearly implies pitching in PETCO has improved his career line, when that is in fact, false. A simple glance at his career home/away splits shows EVERYTHING has been better on the road. ERA, WHIP, BAA, H/9, K/9, BB/9, HR/9. Don't use that as your argument for 2nd worst FA signing if it isn't even true.

QUOTE(jenks45monster @ Dec 12, 2007 -> 12:15 AM) http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/7542024...P>1=10734 Linebrink listed as the 2nd worst signing of the off-season behind Kaz Matsui by FoxSports. Hunter for 5/90 listed as the 4th worst. "In Linebrink's case, his career numbers are made to look better than they are because of all the time he spent in run-suppressing Petco Park" Would be nice to get paid for no research and false claims

Inge would make a nice platoon partner with AJ since he's actually a somewhat competent hitter against LHP. But he's made it clear he does not want to catch, so that is a moot point. I hate Toby Hall.
