  1. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jun 12, 2013 -> 10:20 AM) Realistically, does any team take a look at Dunn? If he continues to hit well and gets his average up to .200, along with 25+ HRs by the deadline it's possible I guess. But it would be a salary dump for next year plus I'm sure the Sox would have to send some money. Who knows though? Realistically I was thinking Dunn is that "immovable object' but he hasn't been bad at all the last month. Probably the Sox MVP of the last month which isn't saying all that much. But here is what he has done. 27 GP, 97 AB , 16 R , 23 H, 4 2b , 11 HR, 26 RBI , 16 BB , 34 K , .237 AVG. , .336 OBP , .619 SLG. , .955 OPS ,60 TB, 15 XBH, 0 GDP 1st in R, 1st in HR (11-3 2nd Highest) , 1st in RBI (26-15) , 1st in BB, 1st in SLG. (.619-.473) 1st in OPS (.955-.829) 1st in TB (60-52), 3rd in OBP behind DeAza and Rios, team has hit into 26 DP's the last 28 games Dunn 0. PK, Alexei and Viciedo accounting for 15 of those 26.
  2. That's a definite yes but Pierzynski doesn't represent a "who" so much as a "what" and that is someone more productive than Flowers.
  3. Can't believe Wang is still in there. Sox should have 10 runs by now.
  4. Dunn 4/4 with a walk . That kind of game from him is about as rare as all that fog that delayed the game for 70 minutes.
  5. Get this guy. I don't want to see him an on another post game show screaming bonsai or w/e it was he was screaming.
  6. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Jun 10, 2013 -> 08:40 PM) vs Left .135 vs Right .400 Day Games 1.00 Night Games 5.91 Home Games 5.40 Away Games 1.86 Thornton Splits Precisely why I wanted Santiago in the pen to take his place and make Thornton a LOOGY at least until we showed we're out of contention.
  7. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Jun 10, 2013 -> 08:36 PM) Dang. Guard has got to move that seat. Yea he does but somehow Viciedo didn't break his arm or leg and it actually helped break his fall as he practically sat on it.
  8. QUOTE (DukeofChicagoA1 @ Jun 10, 2013 -> 08:18 PM) The fog is back stronger than ever. If we give up the lead here, this game is probably over. They'd wait out the fog . It's not like the field is unplayable.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 10, 2013 -> 08:01 PM) I don't understand how he ever gets hitters out. It's a testament to him that he finds a way to be successful. You always know when Ax is off his game. He walks people. When he is on hes up down in out changing speeds hitting corners.
  10. Dunn there we go 5+ runs like I asked . Can Dickey pitch against Dunn every day ?
  11. Dunn at .173 , game better be continued . Wonder if Ax or Dickey will be back if it is.
  12. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 10, 2013 -> 06:14 PM) That would make it one of the longest ever at the Cell if it hit the concourse. Thome hit a few to CF over the greenery to the edge of the sky boxes.
  13. Nice inning , hard to imagine Ax shutting down that BJ lineup with all the lefties in it. Would be nice to see the Sox put up 5+ runs.
  14. Lots of fog rolled in pretty quickly.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 8, 2013 -> 12:54 PM) I don't know how teams like the White Sox make money. You read about how much the franchise is worth, but with attendance likely to be at an all time low the rest of the season, how do they pay those absurd player contracts? We all know the attendance is shot the rest of this season. It just seems like they'd need to have a lot of butts in the seats to make a buck and most people wouldn't go to a game the rest of this season even if offered a free ticket. Re: the bolded. Sox projected attendance to be better this year than last, teams are becoming less dependent on attendance every year and since people still pay to see games, free is much better. So in other words wrong , wrong, and wrong.
  16. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 10, 2013 -> 03:44 PM) Such bulls***, CSN shouldn't take on the game if they can't broadcast it where people can see it. It's on the alternate Comcast channel if I am understanding what you are saying but maybe you just get the main channel and not the alternate one.
  17. According to southsidesox the Sox are averaging 4.30 runs per win. The average for an American league team is 6.29. Even the Astros with their 22 wins are averaging over 6 runs per game in their wins. http://www.southsidesox.com/2013/6/10/4413...d-the-white-sox
  18. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 10, 2013 -> 07:18 AM) No other team is going to pay $7 million to Adam Dunn. If you can get a team to take on $2 mill, it's worth it, because he's largely a sunk cost at this point. Why didn't you just say I agree ?
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 8, 2013 -> 01:51 PM) The one problem this offseason will be that the Yankees will have like $80 million to spend. If everyone on bbileks list comes off and the extra $25M ,we have $88.5M to spend .Find a sucker for Dunn eat half his salary and it's around $95M. Don't expect it all to happen of course. We trade some of those guys above and we're going to take on some salaries but hopefully not much more. And I think we're stuck with Dunn no matter what.
  20. Crain also unscored upon in his last 24 appearances covering 25 innings.
