He was safe but I always wonder why the guy covering 2nd on that type of play doesn't catch the ball on the outfield side of 2nd base. He'd get the throw and the throw's natural momentum will allow the tag to be apllied a split 2nd sooner tagging the sliding runner on his right side rather than his left. Wow they called him out.

Those are talent issues . The guys picking up the slack have risen above their level of talent shown last year like Gillaspie, Alexei, Dunn , Beckham and Flowers.

This team is pretty damn resilient. 4/5 starters have had some problem or another weather it's health or poor pitching. With all the injuries staying around .500 is a minor miracle. A lot of guys are picking up the slack.
