  1. Did power become cheap while I wasn't looking ? Please make points that make sense. Power and Strikeouts cost more than $5M a year and more than 1 year contracts.
  2. That's why I don't get pissed about things. Enough good things are happening but way more bad things still. It's not like I have to remind myself it's a rebuild and there were not a lot of prospects ready to contribute in 2024. A few made the cut this year and more are coming. Rule 5 was a big help. Instant good MLB pitchers in a year when TJohn wiped out a lot of arms. Vargas turning it around helps. Robert sucking hurts. Starting pitching overall better than expected because of Smith and now Houser. Some times dumpster diving pays off to make good contributions. Rule 5 is just MLB throwing some unprotected prospects at teams who suck. Teams over protecting position player prospects plays right into the Sox strength if you operate under the assumption that Bannister has a very good rep .
  3. Rojas needs to hit a HR but not likely starting 0-2.
  4. Never cared much for framing stats. umps just miss too many calls to put much stock in it. If anyone wants to think that's because of catchers that's fine. There's too many pitches to think that Tigers pitching and bad umpiring gets thema lot of calls too. Their team WHIP is pretty low. So their guys don't walk that many and are close to the zone a lot.
  5. So Sox fight back from a 4 run 1st inning deficit and the offense goes into a 3 inning coma after that.
  6. Lol well I came back just in time to see that comedy. Nice tag by Lee.
  7. Well turned it off to see the Oilers win in the last minute of OT on a PP goal. Missed the Tigers taking the lead.
  8. Rojas got boned. All 3 called strikes were balls.
  9. Sox coming back preventing me from watching 1st game of Stanley Cup final.
  10. Helluva job by Rule 5 #2. Hope he doesn't get stuck with any runs here.
  11. He is 6' 4" or 5. He has long arms and he also can hit oppo. He's not strictly a pull hitter.
  12. Anyone got the Tigers in the 20 run pool today ?
  13. Nice to see unheralded prospects doing well. He's like the Elko of pitchers except he wasn't as consistently good as Elko. Doesn't throw hard at all . Tops out at 90 I think. Just knows how to pitch , 4 pitch mix with command. Keeps guys off balance, induces soft contact.
  14. Not really. The Reindorf's and Wirtz's are all in on the 1901 Project to make the area around the United Center a fan friendly extravaganza. That's where JRs money has been going .
  15. A close game for 5 innings the Sox actually won .
