That's only recently it's improve a bit going from a team batting avg of .203 to .213. Subsequently the defense has been worse lately. The bullpen has been consistently as inconsistent as the hitting and defense.

I'll go OPPO of the general consensus and say Id rather have 1st and 3rd 1 out even with Vaughn up. Of course Vaughn hit a DP ball but I'm a firm believer in what happened in that situation is not necessarily going to happen if the situation changed. 1st inning, you're hitting Valez hard don't give away outs.

Still Vaughn in there batting 5th. He's got even more negative bWar than Amaya. When you can't run, field or hit the negative WAR accumulates fast. He almost cancels out our top 2 bWar guys. Robert and Thaiss combined are 1.5. Vaughn is -1.3 .

There's the Sox bWar leaders. If Sosa was that terrible he wouldn't have a positive War. Sometimes we see what we want to see or listen to the people who scream the loudest even when they are wrong.
