  1. Surprisingly no winners thread. Awesome pitching and turning DP's and barely enough hitting propel to Sox to over .500 for the 1st time in 2 months ! Never a doubt !
  2. Robert fWar this year 2.2 . Soto fWar this year 2.4. All trading Robert for Soto does is open a huge offensive and defensive hole in CF and adding Sotos bat and cruddy defense and adds much more salary. Would be nice to hang onto Robert for all those extra years who contributes offense, defense, power , stolen bases and good base running and is the the only one on the Sox who does that (when healthy). Soto is useless to the Sox if you take away more production than you get.
  3. Which is what I've said from the beginning about those reports including Corbin.
  4. Now the question becomes can the Sox win 2 in Colorado without hitting a HR ?
  5. No you don't. As long as people keep talking about Rodon as if he's about to spiral downwards or get injured again when he's already met the Giants qualifier for IP and they can now give him a QO and get a prospect back for him thanks to MLBPA and MLB not coming to an agreement on the IntL draft.
  6. No but it does say how bad a job Hahn did in addressing the starting pitching lack of depth when he throws money away like a drunken sailor on injured relief pitching and giving Leury a 3year contract.
  7. SUre but the only reason the Sox got Cueto was because Lynn got hurt. Hahn preferred VV to him and probably passed on Martin Perez too because he was $1M more than V V.
  8. Yep people always talking about him getting injured or fading down the stretch which may or may not be true this year. But people discount how pitching well during the regular season keeps you in games and helps you win during the season. More wins this season would be a good thing . He's still a likely 5 WAR pitcher. How many of those do we have anyway?
  9. You know we actually agree on a few things. Menechino and trading some prospects . I've been arguing in the trade winds all day against everyone wanting to hang onto prospects who won't help in this window or who think that Sheets and Burger and Crochet is good enough to get Bryan Reynolds.to keep everyone and apparently rolling with what we have or thinking Crochet is some huge starting pitching guy worth keeping to extend the window. I've been like what window ? It might be already closed since the Sox have been playing .500 for a year thanks to the awesome roster construction and wasting money on a crap ton of relievers and Kimbrel/Pollock and not addressing the lack of Depth in starting pitching and especially some LHH bats !
  10. Can't get too much of a good thing . Have to hit into the DP.
  11. Ump at 2nd trying to injure Yoans oblique there poking him in the stomache !
  12. See an extra base hit with a runner in scoring position. Why is that so hard.? Yoan !!!
  13. Lambert hasn't given up a run in his last 8.2 inning with just 4 hits
  14. Get some damn extra base hits now ! Anybody! Bueller ? Bueller ?
  15. I'm singing the old Paula Abdul song "What Have you done for me lately" ?
