  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 07:20 PM) Why not Buerhle, AJ, Pods and Rowand? Or the entire 2005 team photo? Or Thome/Konerko/Dye? Not sure about any of those options. Please list 1000 more names.
  2. It's also, you know, related to their actual function of government, not just releasing Jared Kushner's email of him complaining about Flynn being mean to him.
  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 01:41 PM) And you've made this judgement based on about 30 games(if that). Dude has barely played the position in his life and there's some people who are just so convinced that he'll never be able to do it, it's crazy to me. Yeah, I think the one part is if the ACL has affected his mobility at all. He would be the cubs only bad defender, I am pretty confident they are a smart enough org to hide him well enough for his bat to play. I do think he'll have some highlight errors though.
  4. Good. Wasn't looking forward to Hahn calling up Brad Penny for a reunion.
  5. So on Garfein's podcast, they played the Hahn press conference. They asked him if there were any injuries on day one and he had a very strange pause and said he hadn't seen the report.
  6. I don't like last second ISOs, especially for a shot that bad, but he did hit him on the elbow. That actually does affect the shot a lot more than the hand/wrist.
  7. I thought Hillary Clinton was rich from accepting all of the foreign donations into the Clinton Foundation as a slush fund to then buy a bunch of henchman to start a child sex ring in the basement of comets pizza.
  8. He's scheduled to start today. If he doesn't pitch then we should be worried. This is Tommy John season.
  9. Just laughed at myself, among other not good signs. I really want a competent person there!
  10. Sigh, was really hoping he would accept. Not a good sign.
  11. That MLB network countdown is such garbage, but I think by it's nature it will get weird results. Easier to do top 10 by positions than a top 100. But judging by the value positionless boppers like Hanley Ramirez got this offseason, does anyone think he ranks as high as Quintana?
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 02:53 PM) Click through it. They ask for money at the end. It was so good they deserve money for creating that.
  13. Check out this great scientific survey: https://t.co/jyi2CEWSk1

    Life as a New Parent

The only thing we really followed was making sure he slept as much as he wanted. Got him to 4 feedings and then he was on a 7-7 schedule by week 4. Has made it all a lot simpler/easier. Wife has not had to go back to work yet though, so that's what I'm holding out for before I stop knocking on wood.
  15. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 11:41 AM) I'm assuming he won't be a friend of labor because he's Republican, but he otherwise looks like a competent, qualified Republican candidate for the office. Right, a Republican is in office, so that's to be expected. But he has experience. Resumes aren't everything though, he could turn out to be a Kris Kobach.
  16. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 11:18 AM) Trump to Announce Alexander Acosta as New Labor Secretary Pick I know nothing about the man but that resume looks good.
  17. I'm not a fan of the NBA this year. But I think part of that is being a bit surprised at how long it has taken some of the younger loaded teams to actually gel. I'd have expected Utah to be better. I'd have expected the 76ers to be better. I'd have expected the TWolves to be better. I'd have expected the Bucks to be better. The pelicans. Meanwhile these teams with much less talent at a CW level keep beating them. Can someone explain how the Atlanta Hawks are 5.5 games better than the Bucks? Maybe next year we'll see the leap. Bulls took 2 years after Rose to make a legit jump. OKC had a sudden rise. But, this is why I'm not looking forward to a rebuild. It takes so much longer than you think.
  18. Yeah, I mean Yemen not allowing us to do counterterrorism activity anymore is kind of a big deal. They didn't even pull that after our funding of the Saudis led to that terrible wedding bombing a few months back.
  19. While 22 billion is certainly high, Snapchat has been very successful in selling their ads compared to twitter. Brands and others have flocked to it.
  20. It would really help his case if he could show off he can play some additional positions. But his speed and plate discipline makes me think he could have a few years if it works out. Really hope he does well in AAA and we see him this year. But Jake Peter will have a strong case too.
  21. If the Bulls actually were sold, I'd imagine they would go for at least 2x that.
  22. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 03:54 PM) I'd happy to take a shot at it, I just need a vector of the SoxTalk logo. Trying to track these down.
  23. Tough call. Both show great technique.
