Plus Alex G was awful. For large portions of his time, mark Kirk was a decent man, but his campaign was gross and lost all of it.

QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 04:56 PM) Zero clue. Although I could read the article! It keeps acting like it was on a separate page but I can't imagine everything fit on 1 page and this was the only thing on page 2.

I guess a not-insignificant amount of Chicago voters got the wrong ballot without the road amendment measures and consolidation item. I wonder how they handle.

I really want to bake an elaborate, yet awful-looking face cake to gift to someone.

Apparently it was a gift that was attempted to be delivered and was rejected and escorted out. Poor cake boss.

QUOTE (Ezio Auditore @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 03:12 PM) I really did not expect turnout to be this high. Obama's record is 61%, so I'm gonna be keeping an eye on it, curious to see where this goes. For whatever reason it has not made me feel any better. Anything outside of what was expected seems terrifying.

The turnout numbers have been surprising. I would be interested to see how things like facebook / internet positively affect turnout as almost all major sites have a "go vote" message. Edit: Considering that one study where getting a message on which of your neighbors voted, maybe the push to have an "i voted" selfie is more significant?

QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 02:14 PM) http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2016/11/08/...-head-to-polls/ How is this even possible? Why would the voting machine have such a feature? This happens literally every election since they were introduced. Usually a calibration issue.

Can't wait for their list of glass ceiling zingers to be hacked and posted to wikileaks. "And I can't help but notice that we have a literal glass ceiling above us now. Well, as Willy Wonka once did, let me step into my glass elevator, and let the glass shards trump up trickle down to the floor!"

Price rising for Sale and Q
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 10:09 AM) Look at the deadline market and how many good to top prospects it took to get even a mediocre player traded. I understand what you are saying, but it's also hard to untangle how much of that is teams finally devaluing value of prospects vs. how many teams feel they are in it year after year for 2nd wildcard. Also how few teams need money for operating budget. We lost hte major incentive for selling teams in past to unload payroll, now it's 100% getting back best value possible. Requires higher returns of talent.

At least it prevents the panic of how much you need to color in the arrows. I know I only need a line but I end up doing a 1 hour coloring session every time.
