  1. I love the smell of a Chicago white sox game thread in the morning
  2. That was one of my favorite games I've attended in so freaking long. Love this team.
  3. Highly doubt here will be more than 20 k here based off early returns in the park
  4. Sands gonna continue to dominate.
  5. Shoulder injuries suck. We have had such incredible luck, but this one hurt pretty bad in terms of 2012.
  6. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 3, 2016 -> 04:13 PM) I'm predicting 30,000 there tonight. I wouldn't be surprised but I expect at least the lower level to be filled up.

Thanks for everything, Jonny boy. Blackout game for life.
  8. I don't know that they have enough time to bring in the Freys, but not sure where else little finger comes into play
  9. QUOTE (lostfan @ May 3, 2016 -> 11:18 AM) This is probably a dead horse to you guys, but I can't think of a single person involved with the Bulls I appreciated this year. Even (or especially) Butler, whose glaring lack of leadership chops was exposed. Felicio
  10. Not sure this is the phrase.
  11. Here was our lineup for when Wright shut us down and telegraphed the way the rest of the season would go: Eaton Saladino Cabrera Abreu Laroche Ramirez Schuck Flowers Sanchez I don't know what our lineup is tonight, but I'm hoping it's better than that!
  12. That commitment to doing their job on time is my favorite part. I need some lumber, HD, not a safety lesson!
  13. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 3, 2016 -> 11:20 AM) Menards lumber selection is pretty awesome, but the quality of a lot of their other stuff is a step below HD or Lowers. Tools comparable to Harbor Freight etc. I just whispered aloud "that's true"
  14. pretty sure we've already seen the Rodon Regression.
  15. QUOTE (lostfan @ May 3, 2016 -> 11:05 AM) That's my reaction to the Floyd pick. That reminds me of the year the Chiefs drafted Dontari Poe. I remember them being mocked for reaching and he did nothing his rookie year buried on the depth chart. Nooooobody questions that pick now. Poe is a monster. They knew what they saw. I think a lot of fans look at the draft and expect everyone drafted to be instant impact guys, and that's the exception, guys don't come out dominating like Randy Moss and Jevon Kearse, they take time to get coached up and adjust to the game. That said, the Bears have had 2 offseasons under this GM/coach so the standard now should be, at a minimum, relevance in playoff discussions come Thanksgiving or so. Unfortunately we were relevant in playoff discussion on Thanksgiving last year and then promptly lost the rest of our games
  16. Can we talk more about Menards?!?!
  17. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 3, 2016 -> 09:54 AM) I can't say I've noticed Menards remodeling? The stores in Bolingbrook, Homer Glen and Crest Hill or Romeoville are all laid out identically and the CH/R store is pretty new. Sports Authorities/Dick's etc could try to mimick something like Bass Pro but on a smaller scale instead of just being a big box. Oh man, we just had a new menards open up on North ave way down in like...melrose park or something. It's a farther drive but has the best lumber yard I've seen. We drive there 15 minutes farther than Lowes/HD.. The one in cicero was updated as well.
  18. I was able to score cheap club level tix. Alleviating my cold concerns. Thnx stubhub.
  19. I like the Northern Iowa pick most, he may be a complete slow turtle, but Donatell loves that body type. I kind of am a Pace apologist. Emery talked a lot about process but didn't seem to actually reform our processes. Pace seems to be creating organizational unity and buy-in, which even if it swings and misses can pivot easier. I love getting Kwiatkowski because it's so ridiculous now to assume you'll have your starters playing even 16 games. We saw what happened last year "OMG Jeffrey, Royal, White!" The Dline and Linebackers are now full of a bunch of different looks. It is getting closer.
  20. Ha, didn't think of that, but coleman was awesome in college.
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 3, 2016 -> 09:47 AM) I did see a highlight of him robbing a HR a few days ago but I think it was from last year. Maybe that's right. I thought he robbed one against Tampa.
  22. I feel like sports box stores could be a lot cooler than they are. There's an old dept store prejudice now, you walk in them and are just like "yuck this is dying". Vs. look at Menards remodeling and walking in. You can't just put a bunch of s*** on racks now and call it a day.
  23. But he did rob a home run?
