oh, yeah 100%. I think this probably failed because he doesn't care, but that's why I think he's involved.

he absolutely would be approving stadium renovation budgets and plans. I'm sure he isn't the project manager, no.

Yeah you would fail statistics. -
I still think Reich is a good coach, personally. And most importantly, he'll be able to bring a good staff.

I'm so jealous of the astros -
I don't understand like how it went so sideways in a few months? I certainly wouldn't put out a press release. This is really no different than the tables and eating areas they have throughout (La Russa's lounge ?) Like maybe say this is phase 1. Really feels like JR is cutting back and just gonna ride this thing out to the sunset.

celebrate me for getting it right kyyle

The way he uses his hands plus his production against SEC tackles, I have zero doubts about anderson

man...what a brutal week of sox news.

oh wow. If Quinn goes to Denver and Moore goes to Carolina...boy oh boy when does Jerry look at that and say "ok i'm getting payton"

What a weird coaching offseason. Insane to hire hackett. Absolutely insane. I'd hire Nagy 100x over Hackett. Irsay it sounds like is going to force Saturday in there. Carolina it feels like wants a Pederson-like hire, so I'd bet Reich ends up there, but maybe Kafka? I hope Fangio goes to Miami, he'll love that secondary. Please no MN. No idea who jumps to AZ/HOU

Matt Miller mock draft has bears move to 4 for #35 and 2024 1st Definitely seems to be some circling around that value.

Mike Clevinger under investigation for domestic violence

I think it's underrated how impactful it would be within an organization like the sox for someone to actually lose their job over poor performance on the field. Poor performance has typically meant a promotion to an assistant to the GM role/professional reinsdorf best friend OR you had to have been convicted of a crime to be removed. That and I doubt that if you let any other person in the white sox run things it would be the same. Even in the CYA crapfest of sox FO, a Getz led team would be different. A Shirley led team would be different. A haber-led team? Probably same. -

oh man yeah. Can't blame front office for that really, but yeah, adds to the embarrassment. Also Guaranteed Rate sponsorship was such a gut punch with the arrow pointing down stuff lol. -
I don't think it's certain, wouldn't be shocked if he restructures. Anytime a guy on a two year deal gets mostly injured his first year, seems like they are gone. Still I dream about Jason Kelce.

- Omar Vizquel abuse of a child while manager of sox - Other coach involved kept on and let go years later - International Scouting Director federally charged for fraud - Manager with DUI made public 2 weeks after hire - Clevinger debacle - Keeping dbo for no reason Is there another team close with this kind of 20 year run of embarrassments. Not even including stuff like LaRoche, which to me is just some cworkplace embarrassment, this is consistent negligence of criminal behavior. Houston, STL, ATL, SD have had an incident, but sox have been so so bad. -

I don't get being down on Davis Martin except for injury, which is understandable. His slider showed real promise as a put-out pitch. If his velocity breakout from last year is maintained, I think he's a good piece to have. Sean Burke better be getting ready though. Not much else. -
It looks like he's just not doing trades so fair enough. I'm a big Jalen Carter fan but the fact that kiper has him #1 really makes me wonder.

White Sox Interested in Naperville Legend Nicky Lopez

I don't think his swing could kill a gnat so better hope is just that we get some babip good luck and at that point is defense is a huge multiplier. I mean honestly he's pretty much the billy hamilton version of the infield (less speed, greater contact equals it out) -

I will highlight how good his defense is though. Yolmers best defensive season for the Sox was 2018 where he was a whiz at 3b and had a 10 OOA season. Nicky Lopez in 2021 had a 25 OOA season and last year was 14. This is guy is two times better than the best middle infielder we would all point to as the best we’ve had. -
I don't think the double trade down is realistic. I think the one out of top 5 to circle would be carolina. To some extent, wouldn't be too opposed just because a) 9 to 1 would be a legitimate haul and b) I don't see carolina being great with a rookie QB. As much as I want this draft to be fun, having two potential top 15 picks next year is a must. Grass is always greener, but the offensive talent expected next year is tremendous. At 9, you can probably still get a very good edge or tackle. With edge being deep, probably go tackle. But you are trading out bird in the hand blue chip prospect for a next year one.
