There's nothing wrong with Arrieta, he's just regressing to the mean. He's a very good pitcher who was never you know the best pitcher of all time. This was going to happen at some point.

They also might feel that getting him fast tracked to the majors with Cooper will help his development the most. I obviously don't know that for sure but it's certainly a possibility. The talent is clearly there, if they believe the maturity level is there, they might feel it's in his and the team's best interest to fast track him. Who knows.
