I think gatech gets to the final four, Unc out in the sweet 16, me and palehose have a little friendly bet on that going back a long time.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 29, 2005 -> 01:15 PM) Well, no... People want to bash Harris into oblivion, and then go around and praise the cute Timo Perez. I agree with Badger 100% -- if Harris is cut loose from this team because Perez is taking his spot, it's a real s***ty decision by management. Clutch is a word thrown around far too often, BTW. Too fluctuating, and not enough sample size to really judge anyone in 'clutch' situations... Keith, I'm done arguing this, you got your opinion, I have mine, agree to disagree here.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 29, 2005 -> 12:49 PM) Last 5 full seasons 30+ Home Runs .300 + Average 100+ RBI $11,000,000 name another guy with that offense that will sign for less in any of the next 5 or 6 years. There are quite a few players last year who put up those type of numbers making under 11 mill per year. Your right, that maggs does have the consistancy thing going for him, like I said 11 mill seems like a fair price for a healthy maggs, I just don't see how it's a bargain.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 29, 2005 -> 01:08 PM) Willie = Good. Timo = Not. Ugh, this argument needs to just go away.
-
QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 29, 2005 -> 12:14 PM) Maggs will have to pass a physical. If he's 85% to 100%, some team is getting a bargain. How's 11-12 mill for 5 years a bargain??? Maggs is a great player but even when healthy I think maggs is worth 10-11 mill and 5 years is an awful lost of year, I just don't see how that can possibly be a bargain.

QUOTE(SoIL @ Jan 29, 2005 -> 12:11 PM) The Tigers are fools. Yup, that's a lot of money for a guy with huge question marks to his health. Eleven million for a healthy maggs might even be a bit of a stretch but that's probably around what he's worth when healthy.

I love southpark, I don't catch it often but I watch it as much as I can.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 07:22 PM) but Jason again proved he's always on top of s***. Except for the spelling, of course

This was the first time I've ever turned on the score in the afternoon since the changes have been made, was that Buffone calling Iguchi, Taguchi?
-
This team lost it's flash, therefore I highly doubt the sox get any love from any of the experts but who gives a s*** they'll be proven wrong.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 26, 2005 -> 06:12 PM) ROFL, I actually thought about that too. My, we are f***ed up. Have you remembered his name yet????

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 26, 2005 -> 06:58 PM) How did all you guys get into the Dolphins? For me it was all Marino. When I was a youngin I was watchign a phins game with my dad he basically told me how great Dan was and I fell in love with Marino and have been a phins fan ever since.
-
Sox Dolphins Bulls and I really do love the phins and Bulls but the sox are by far and away my favorite sports team.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 11:10 PM) This is something I think people are looking over and not even realizing. This team still does have all kinds of power. There is no doubt in my mind that the Sox will still hit around 200 homers. However...Dye does not = Lee when healthy...Dye is a .270 25 80 .800 type player...Caballo is a .310 35 110 .900 type player, with a little more speed too. I think a healthy dye at the cell hits 30 and 100.
-
QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 10:47 PM) All you need to say is Pod better than borchard/gload/perez combo....cuz obviously everett and dye are better than a plain Lee. And yes...Pod is better than that combo... Just for the record your avatar pisses me off

Illinois/Wisconson predictions

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 05:57 PM) Wisky by 6. Oh, I'm good Congrats Illini fans that was a great win. -
QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 09:05 PM) OK, we've improved in these areas. Is it a better mix than offense? You cannot defense against a 450 foot shot. I've been drinking the koolaide, but starting to wonder if it really is this easy, why doesn't every team do it? I think this is a better offense then years past. This team might now score as many runs as it has in the past but I think it'll be more consistant and be able to manufacture runs in big games against good pitching. I'd honestly take this years offense over the ones we've had in the past, jmo.

Did they say it was injury related or it wasn't why curry isn't playing??

QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) Ha, nothing is ever good enough here eh......we are done this offseason....every team is always going to have a small hole to fill, i mean you're all asking for a back up for uribe, i dont think this is really on kenny's mind...I think we should all sit back and comend kenny for filling the major holes, and having the best offseason of any team in the MLB. I mean look what we have to look foward to this season. Those dirty cubs fans are still talking about how good they will be, when all they did this offseason was lose more then they gained I'm willing to bet there is one more move.

Sun Times article on Iguchi, fans, & 2005 lineup!
Rowand44 replied to Jabroni's topic in Pale Hose Talk
IMO, the perfect lineup without frank would be: Spod Iguchi aaron pauly everett dye aj crede uribe However you're going to get that lineup with aaron and jermaine switched most likely. -
