  1. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 17, 2005 -> 10:49 AM) Alright, I can see that. But Oz can't blame Carlos when he just sat on his ass and didn't have his pitcher hit anyone... See what I'm saying? Ozzie wanted the players to retaliate, oz has said numerous times and a lot of times this weekend also that if Hunter was on his team he would have hugged the guy, he also said if the players didn't like it they should have done something about it.
  2. QUOTE(Cali @ Jan 16, 2005 -> 04:07 PM) What's gonna happen with Crazy Carl once Frank comes back I wonder? Some kid asked ozzie that today in one of the seminars and he said whoever isn't swinging the bat well is going to be sitting next to him and kenny said it's called depth. It's definitely going to be interesting to see how carl gets incorporated in lineup once frank is fully healed.
  3. If tony is healthy he'd be the perfect player to add to this team. He can play shortstop and be the utility guy and is a perfect platoon partner for willie.
  4. Just got back a couple hours ago from being there all 3 days, I had a great time. I think there were a couple of you I recognized like aboz, jason, and steff but for some reason I didn't say hi to anyone, I don't know why. I prolly saw you to 2k5 just don't recall seeing a picture of you so I don't know what you look like. Anyways like I said I had a blast, I think it's safe to say the seminars were completely different this year compared to last year as far as attitude. It was pretty funny when steff went up to make a comment to Kenny and he said "aren't you the one who yelled at me last year," it looked like you got kind of embarrased steff, lol. Hope everyone else had a good time too.
  5. Best overall player on the sox is Aaron, imo.
  6. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jan 14, 2005 -> 08:59 PM) Joe Borchard joined Dickerson and Levine. Sounds like a genuinely nice fellow. Which is going to hurt even more when he begins 2005 in Charlotte. Ya, he's a good guy during the opening ceremonies tonight I was worried he was going to get booed, got that a little but it wasn't to bad. I'll be going back down there tomorrow and stay at the hotel tomorrow night and be there sunday to, can't wait to go back had a great time tonight. Also is it true Freddy won't be there at all??
  7. The sox still have enough power and I'm not getting back to the willie harris argument that has been worn out.
  8. Great job sox, way to get aaron signed for a reasonable contract
  9. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 14, 2005 -> 12:47 PM) BTW this should settle this earlier arguement... As it should be.........
  10. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jan 14, 2005 -> 12:44 PM) Rowand 1024X768 Very cool but that's not me

I loved it, one of the funniest movies I've ever seen, also in my dvd collection
  12. QUOTE(quickman @ Jan 14, 2005 -> 10:37 AM) from what I understand there might be two issues with these tickets that will hold you back. The first is, season ticekt holders get first crack at ordering xtra tickets for these games. The second is the 9 and 13 game packages include one of these games. There not done selling these seats. Actually with the 13 game package you can get 2 cubs games.
  13. QUOTE(shakes @ Jan 14, 2005 -> 10:50 AM) Why is Shingo so shaky? I realize he has to prove he isn't a one year wonder, but I don't think it's a real cause for concern unless he actually starts blowing games. Exactly what critic said, he's not a prototype closer so some people are going to consider him shaky. Shingo wore down a bit last year and started losing his control a little since he's never pitched that many innings before, as long as shingo has his control he's going to be very good, not to mention if he does somehow falter we have another guy in the pen who converted 85 percent of his saves last year.
  14. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jan 14, 2005 -> 11:32 AM) I gotta work tonight, and tomorrow. -- Can somebody get me a Timo autograph? :wink I'll do it but it's gonna cost you
  15. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jan 14, 2005 -> 10:23 AM) I agree with everything he said except infield defense. Anyone who thinks that Willie and Juan are doing to hurt our defense up the middle then they have obviously never watched one Sox game last year. Hey jeckle we actually agree I said it a couple times last year I absolutely loved watching juan and willie play up the middle together, they seem to feed off of each other. If willie is indeed the starting 2b next year it could very well be the best dp combo in baseball.
  16. QUOTE(Molto @ Jan 14, 2005 -> 10:56 AM) I consider Harris to be more of a question mark than hole, simply because he has the tools to be a good player. I completely agree, especially considering he atleast proved he can be an average ball player last year.
  17. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 08:50 PM) Seems like Levine is off since his mom died recently I believe...he seems distracted understandably so Jester wasn't that a couple months ago?? I mean obviously it's understandable if that's what his mind is on but I think he's had some time.
  18. Awesome, I love watching those games
  19. I believe they just signed him to a long term deal, I think they want to keep him around.
  20. The 2003 team had more talent but this is the better team.
  21. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) He was actually a good player, it's just his attitude and lazyness really made him look bad. That's why he sucks. He's got all the talent in the world and he's a decent offensive player however he's an awful and lazy defender, and a terrible baserunner, he's just an idiot. I don't think you can win with guys with D'angelo on your team, he's just a dumb ball player.

My parents saw it and told me it was awesome.
  23. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 03:30 PM) Bummer. I wanted Cora because he could spell both Uribe & Harris at a reasonable price. Now the only guy worth considering on that list is Larkin. He still has some baseball left in the tank. If nothing else it take CLE out of the running for Iguchi. Our biggest competition might be coming from teams like HOU. Teams willing to spend more than others because of the hole they find themselves in. We have no competition for Iguchi, he'll either sign with the sox or stay in japan.
  24. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 03:18 PM) You are grossly underestmating the value of Davis. He simply has not had enough regular ab's in the ML's to consider a bust yet. I liken his value to that of Jiminez' when the Sox got him. As a prospect he was highly rated. But in limited capacity he didn't get it done. Now with regular ab's at CIN he's an everyday player. Davis is worth at least what we gave up to get Jiminez at the time. Jimenez sucks.
