  1. I kind of got a dilemma and wondering if I there is anything I can do. Anyways my friend and I were originally going to go saturday and sunday so we got the whole ticket package but we only have our room for saturday night, anyways we now want to go Friday too but the problem is they won't let us get our tickets until we check in but that's not until saturday. We're trying to argue with them but I'm not sure if that's going to work, anyone got any ideas??
  2. Good story. They showed some of it on CSN last night, Rowand smashed a ball left handed maybe he should be a switch hitter
  3. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 12:12 PM) I'm more interested in the Q&A sessions and stuff like that than the autographs to tell you the truth. Ditto, the seminars are the most fun, imo. There are a couple auto's I want to get but for the most part all seminars.
  4. QUOTE(BamaDoc @ Jan 11, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) Hermanson 2005 2.0 million, 2006 3.0 million, 2007 3.5 million or .5 buyout so two years at 5.5 guaranteed Schowenweis 2005 2.5 million, 2006 2.75 million. total 5.25 This may be interesting to compare as the year moves forward. I'm a little surprised Schowenweis got that much guaranteed due to his elbow trouble. He is supposed to be a left handed specialist which he would have been unhappy doing here last year. Hermy by a landslide.
  5. Ha, pretty funny how the twins could be ranked higher. I don't think the sox are going to get a lot of love in any of these type of things though because they've lost a lof of their "flash" if that makes any sense.
  6. Steelers Pats Eagles Falcons Pats over Steelers Eagles over Falcons Pats over Eagles
  7. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 11:05 PM) I think Carlos fell out of favor with KW. It was probably both of them, I don't think Ozzie cared for Carlos's approach at the plate but I could be wrong.
  8. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 11:02 PM) It's a well known fact that Lee's value was high enough to fetch a #1 or #2 pitcher for the CWS. This was written up by Gammons himself. Think about that in terms of what we got for him. As someone said above Lee's value was higher than that of Koney's. So if this was a salary dump why not Koney over Lee? Look at all our 2B options we are discussing now. Any one of those players would have been thrown in with a relief pitcher & a PTBNL for Lee. That was likely the starting price for Lee. First off consider your source for that one. Second, I think the main reason Kenny traded carlos over koney was that carlos fell out of favor with Ozzie.
  9. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 10:46 PM) What I was saying is that I'm OD-ing on stats. Ah, ok, I'm an idiot, don't mind me
  10. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 10:36 PM) The word "overkill" seems to come to mind. Ya, sorry about that, just making my point but I guess I've done that enough already :banghead
  11. QUOTE(BobDylan @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 10:05 PM) What is your and other people's fascination with Alex Cora? Willie Harris is just as capable, if not more. Look at the numbers, Alex Cora sucks. Stats aren't everything.

    QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 10:18 PM) Excellent choice. Definitely, though this better not take out of his time to make me sigs Congrats Goldy
  13. Big 3 by duhon, bulls back up by 11
  14. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 08:47 PM) googled some pics of dye for a sig and found this pic. thought it was kinda neat so decided to post it. got it from this site: http://www.buckparadise.com/new_deer_galleries/2003deer.htm **admins/mods move to where ever if ya don't feel it belongs in palehose** Anyone else think Dye looks a lot like Lennox Lewis in that picture??
  15. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 08:42 PM) It's really not hard to look up. Ichiro vs ALC: vs. CLE .360 .383 .459 .842 vs. DET .345 .385 .482 .867 vs. KAN .313 .389 .465 .854 vs. MIN .306 .324 .352 .676 Ichiro vs West, CC : 733, 1160 Ichiro vs Mor, Joh : 619. 1166 Ichiro vs San, Rad : 500, 885 The difference with Ichiro is his BA is good despite a low OPS. vs West he hit 286, vs San he hit 250. Great fit. He was just using that as an example. I think he's trying to say that you're throwing out some ridiculous stats to prove whether or not a player is a solid player, sorry if I put words in your mouth qwert, that's just how I interpreted it.
  16. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) is he a FA because if he isnt i dont think pirates let him go but if he is i dont see why not sign a guy like him. He's not a fa.
  17. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 07:09 PM) Rollins vs Milwood, Sabathia : 750, 1500 Rollins vs Moroth, Johnson: 286, 237 Rollins vs Santana, Radke: 500, 000 Grant it he only had a few ab's against all but Milwood but he certainly didn't make the most of them. There's a greatly probability they will dominate him than he'll succeed. No to Rollins. You look into stats way to much. Because Rollins hasn't done well against certain pitchers that he hasn't faced that much you don't want him on the team, just ridiculous imo.
  18. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 03:51 PM) The Colts are a lock then. ChiSox3443: i think gb blows 'em out I knew you were going to bring that up in this thread :headshake

    QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 05:05 PM) That is not a great deal for houston, not at all. I was about to say that, Houston is gutting themselves even more if they do this deal.
  20. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 02:25 PM) Oh man! You guys just won't let this die will you! \ You're the one who bumped the thread
  21. QUOTE(chisox2334 @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 01:32 PM) People love harris cause fist time people heard his name thought he was next ray durham and which now kenny wants ray ray back I don't love Willie but he's not a bad player. He posted some decent numbers last year and if we have to I have no problem going into the year with willie as the 2b, although I'd prefer to get a middle infielder that could hit 2nd.
  22. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 11:17 AM) Yes he has the Def range.. but so did Royce Clayton, and he didn't last to long. Actually no, Royce had very little range for a shortstop but when he did get to a ball he'd make the play.
  23. QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 01:02 PM) Well done, very cool.

    QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 07:49 AM) If the Astros trade for Randy Winn, it looks certain that Reed will be the center fielder for the M's in 2005. I think he'll be the starting centerfielder regardless of Winn being traded or not, I think randy is slated to start in left as of right now for Seattle.
  25. I wish billy the best of luck, he sucked for the sox but he was a classy guy, I hope he can refind his velocity.
