  1. I bought the ozzie package giving me 14 games to go to, I'll end up going to more also during the summer, I really can't wait for opening day, can't get here soon enough.
  2. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) I'm going to be really pissed if they turn around and trade Castillo. I really think he would have been better for this team then Iguchi. Ohh well... I'd rather have Iguchi and Marte over Castillo..........
  3. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 12:35 PM) I think Larkin could work.. take a look see Monday game 1b Pauly 2b Icguchi ( I will learn to spell it by all-star break!) SS Uribe 3b Crede Tuesday 1b Pauly 2b Uribe SS larkin 3b Crede Wenesday 1b Pauly 2b icguchi SS Larkin 3b Uribe Thrsuday 1b Gload 2b Ichguchi SS larkin 3b Crede Friday 1b Pauly 2b Harris SS uribe 3b Crede DH Larkin Just an example how we can keep our players fresh for down the stretch You liked Jerry Manuel, didn't you??
  4. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 08:51 PM) Done.... I took out Buehrle and added Iguchi, also made the Dye image in color. When we get some shots of Iguchi in the Black and Silver, I'll roll up a new design. Well down showtime
  5. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 10:01 PM) Don't forget about the .246 batting average with the .285 OBP now!!! :banghead Ugh, I didn't want to get into this argument again but why not, I guess we can just throw out the game tying single in the 9th against cleveland with 2 outs, or the 2 run homer in the 9th against the marlins that tied it up, or the 3 run single against krod in the 8th that tied it up, or how about in that same series in the 8th without 2 outs against anaheim that he hit a single between short and 3rd to tie it up or how about the bunt up in minny in the 7th or 8th(can't remember) with the bases loaded that tied the game up and I can go on, you honestly have to throw the stats out the window with timo he comes up big when you need him to.
  6. Ugh, this kid doesn't deserve jail he deserves to get the s*** beat out of him. f*** you asshole
  7. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 08:07 PM) You have to admit, .262/.343/.323, cheap w/ good defense at 2B looks better than .246/.285/.338, $1M w/ poor range and a plus arm in the outfield. One is almost universally loathed, and looks to be done with this team, the other is a beloved mascot of ineptitude. Cheat, I'm not getting into the Timo argument again but whether you like it or not he's here to stay.
  8. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 08:08 PM) Lopez is the only guy I would worry about designating for assignment. Tracey is one heck of a prospect, Lopez is a decent mi spect, you're right on Reynoso though.
  9. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 08:04 PM) There are a few guys from the 40-man roster that could be designated for assignment to make room for Iguchi... Pedro Lopez Paulino Reynoso Matt Smith Sean Tracey I doubt anyone would claim these scrubs. Green??
  10. Leave Timo alone, he's here and you love him
  11. QUOTE(JimH @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) This afternoon I heard $4.7M with a team option for the 3rd year. Not bad. Other than this middle IF situation they're done and ready to go. I've got a question for you Jim, before you said you wouldn't trade Willie for graff, with the signing of Iguchi do you think it would be a good deal if Tony is healthy?? I know that's highly unlikely with the sox rarely trading in division but that deal just resurfaced in my mind.
  12. A shingo and Iguchi banner could be pretty cool but I'll leave it up to the creative one.
  13. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 07:21 PM) I really don't want Lowell, and if we traded Garland, we have that hole in our rotation again. We really don't have any holes right now. Let's leave it that way. Ya, don't mess with this group, find a utility man and head to tucson.
  14. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 07:13 PM) Some of these predictions are crazy. What are your predictions then aj, don't hold back on us
  15. QUOTE(GASHWOUND @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 05:52 PM) Well, I read 2 or 3 pages..I got the jist Although when Frank comes back we'll have the all-mighty-righties...I always like balance in a line-up..but I guess if the hitter is a good hitter doesn't matter.. Great signing The offense isn't that balanced righty/lefty wise but it is balanced in a way it hasn't been before and that has having different types of players. We now have guys who can run and guys who can bang the ball out of the park, this team can manufacture runs or hit the 3 run homer, this is something we haven't had.
  16. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) Did you read what I said... I lowered his grade because he hasn't gotten rid of Willie fast enough. Like I've been saying for the last two weeks he hurts us on the bench because he has no versatility. I want him gone ASAP now that a replacement has been brought in. What the hell does it matter how fast he gets rid of willie?? It's called patience, kenny has to make one more move to get a veteran who can play short and then we'll see what happens with willie.
  17. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 11:23 AM) No, that's YOUR lineup for 2005. Guillen already stated in soxfest this lineup.. Podsednik Uribe Dye Konerko Everett Rowand Pierzynski Crede Harris Now I think it will be.. Podsednik Iguchi Dye Konerko Everett Rowand Pierzynski Uribe Crede I think that'll be a good chance to be the lieup for the first game of the season. Agreed, except opening day I wouldn't be surprised to see Iguchi leading off and spod batting 2nd since we're facing cc, I remember a couple times at the beginning of last year he'd lead off juan and bat willie 2nd against lefties. Also at soxfest he sounded unsure whether he wanted to lead scott off against left handers.
  18. I'm expecting at worst .270/.340, I'm not really sure about the power numbers though and I'm not concerned with those either.
  19. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 11:34 AM) A+++++++++++++++ Agreed, I'm so f***in stoked with this team, I can't wait for the year to start, he's filled every single hole we had coming into the offseason, absolute fantastic job.
  20. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 02:58 PM) Can somebody tell me if Iguchi bats left, right, or switch? He's a righty.
  21. Wow, great f***in job kenny. Lineup as of now without frank: pods iguchi dye pauly everett rowand aj uribe crede Wow, that's one deep lineup.
  22. The last thing this offseason has been is dull, whether you like the changes or not it's been an exciting offseason.
  23. QUOTE(Spod=Ratings @ Jan 23, 2005 -> 11:30 PM) My wallpaper may have jsut changed. Gold you are great at this He's a god at this stuff, all 3 are damn good but the mark and freddy one was originially made for me so it has a special place in my heart
  24. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Jan 23, 2005 -> 11:04 PM) http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=563024 Very cool, my favorite is still the mark and freddy one though.
  25. QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 23, 2005 -> 09:48 PM) I wasn't able to find any video of the fight, but I did manage to find some still footage.
