  1. Good. Either Eck or Cora and I believe it becomes a very good offseason. Kenny has changed the dynamics of this team, from having an all power offense we now have a team that can manufacture some runs plus we still have some boppers in the middle of the order. This pitching is 100 percent better then it was at the beginning of 04. I'm very satisfied and I full expect Kenny to sign Alex or Eck and I'll be thrilled with the offseason.
  2. Uribe is a great defensive shortstop who has an absolute cannon, if we get eck we're doing things backwards if Juan is at 2b and eck is at ss, Juan has more range and a rocket for an arm, where as Eck has a weak arm. If we get eck it's an easy decision to move eck to 2nd.
  3. Willie's a great defender but I don't know if he's better then Alex. Alex is a better fit then willie because he can handle the bat much better and we can bat him 2nd, where as willie is a terrible bunter and is not a smart enough player to bat 2nd. I'd prefer eck but I'd love to get Eck or Cora.
  4. Happy bday willie, you finally turned 3
  5. I think it's the sox but it's very close, imo. I think the sox have a better starting staff because of the bottom 3, I think silva is going to be far worse then last year, Lohse sucks and Mullholland or Mays aren't good either. I think the sox have more depth to their pen, even though I'd say the twins have more dominating guys at the backend of their bullpen. I think it's very close but I think the sox have the advantage right now, jmo. EDIT: Looks like I read the question wrong and it's just the rotation, not including the pen, if that is the question I definitely think the sox have a stronger rotation.
  6. This is probably aaron wanting more money so the sox are going to hold out on offering more until he proves himself again. From all reports the sox offered Arow a similar to deal as they did with Juan, aaron probably wants more money so the sox are just going to wait, jmo.
  7. Kenny said it's not happening(Aj, that is), rotoworld can believe what they want, unless kenny is lying to stay under the radar, this ain't happening, imo.
  8. Sure but don't be surprised if he improved offensively if more people recognized him, giving him a better shot to be a gold glover.
  9. No thanks. Keep this roster intact and add eck or cora. No need to mess with this roster now, I really like the team we have put together right now.
  10. Having him bat 2 also helps the bottom of our lineup because it moves everyone down a slot.
  11. Orlando will probably be slotted as the 5th guy so he can be skipped if need be but if we can keep him healthy he's definitely our number 3 guy, if that makes any sense.
  12. I'd like to see: Spod lf eck 2b rowand cf hurt dh pauly 1b dye rf uribe ss crede 3b davis c
  13. I definitely agree.
  14. I'd rather have Eck but I'd love either.
  15. I don't think he's saying Garland is quite the pitcher that these guys have been, however he's saying if you compare stats through a certain point of their careers that they're very comparable.
  16. Ah...my bad, for some reason I thought he was after this season.
  17. Ha....I hope not, that's not what I meant. I'm just saying I think we'll have money to work with. I don't think it's to much when the Lieber's, Wright's, Clement's are getting 7 plus and in the case of Matt 8 plus, when el duque is arguably better then these guys and some of them have injury risks also. I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one
  18. Well we have the money to play with this year, so I agree with you there that for this year it's fine. Next year Pauly comes off the books and so does jon. I don't think 4 mill a year is that bad and we'll have some money to work with next year. It's also a possibility that the sox won't have to make any starting pitcher acquisitions going into next year with Bmac on the way. I can see how you're a little worried about the money but I think we'll have some money to play with next year and I think we'll be fine, jmo.
  19. Pending Physical, El Duque is signing with the sox for believed to be 2 years 8 mill plus incentives.
  20. Mariotti's daughter goes to my school .
  21. As will I........I really think Alex will sign with the sox.
  22. Up on rotoworld too, looks like this thing is actually going to get done
  23. Exactly, when El Duque is healthy he is atleast a number 3 and last year while he pitched with the yanks he was their ace, that's how good he can be when healthy.
