QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 04:20 PM) Was Bledsoe healthy enough to come back that season? Its been so long, but I thought his chest injury was pretty severe. Ya, from what I remember he ended up sticking with Brady over Bledsoe at the end of the season and through the playoffs.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 04:08 PM) A starting QB doesnt lose his job to injury, especially a starting QB that is as talented at Cutler. Then we'd have no Tom Brady.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 02:38 PM) You brought up 2012. That Sixer team was awful. That's a series you still win. And last year they had Nate. He won game 4 by himself and was terrific the whole series. That's what you need. Not necessarily Nate. But guys that can stretch you out and take you off the bounce. Nate would be useless on a team with Derrick. That 2012 team and this team were built around the basis that Derrick was going to be there.

No point in arguing with J4L. The point is no one knows, I think the Bulls had enough to win this year if healthy, they're not healthy and this core more than likely never will be. I wanted to give this core a chance this year cause they've never all been together but with Deng's contract expiring and Noah breaking down all the time and Rose being completely broken, it's time to blow it up.

Official 2013-2014 NCAA Football Thread

I also don't understand blaming Beckman for last year, those weren't his players and they were expected to suck, how is that his fault? -
Honestly the Blackhawks have become so damn good that the regular season is kind of meh. I still watch but it's more interesting to talk about the train wreck that is your Chicago Bulls.

I don't follow Illinois football closely enough but firing any coach after 2 seasons just doesn't sound like a smart idea. -
Like I said in the other thread, worth a shot, no downside to selecting him.
-
Ya why not? No downside to this.

QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 07:12 AM) Perfer the regular eggnog, I do, but the alcoholic version is fine, too. Quite the rhymer we got here.
-
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 10:19 PM) Man, I love me some good eggnog. I prefer the non-alcoholic kind, though. Just a good old carton. Never actually had eggnog. Safe to assume I'd prefer the alcoholic version.
-
Looks like ss2k5 has been hitting the eggnog early this year.

I haven't had a chance to watch the last few games, are we fun bad yet?

Sox acquire Adam Eaton from ARZ, deal Santiago, Jacobs

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 12:56 PM) It would rank him in the top-100 across the MLB, and tied with guys like Billy Butler and Buster Posey. People are really struggling to grasp the fact that the steroid era, for the most part, is long in the rear-view mirror. Yup. It always sounds like a low number you just have to think about it and realize that's a good amount of homeruns now a days. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 01:29 PM) I thought you were just saying that 90% of good players are good looking, not that 90% of good looking players are good. I am entirely confused now, thanks Pods wants on your list too. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 01:33 PM) His goal may be a .400 OBP, but the reality is 7 players did that in 2013. Ya it's probably not going to happen but it's great that he has that as a goal for himself. -

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 11:09 AM) I told my dad the other day that a good idea would be to open a jewish style deli near Kent Law school. For whatever reason there just arent that many. Do you work at Kent? I know you've asked FFC before, I don't work there anymore but you guys do get a nice discount if you do indeed work there.
-
My fresman year at SIU my dad gave me a credit card to use and I got it taken away because I basically bought hundreds of dollars of Jimmy Johns a month so I definitely get the JJ love. Ironically enough my buddy worked there my last 2 years down at school so I got it for free whenever I wanted to. I do love Subway though. I can actually say besides Blimpy's I've pretty much loved all of those sandwich chains.

Buffalo Chicken for me at Subway and I absolutely love it.

Hahn may have bigger plans for Eaton and Elmore

QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 09:09 AM) Did I miss a headline where the Sox acquired this Elmore guy? Wasn't a headline because Elmore is nothing. -

QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 09:59 PM) Eaton was on a ROY pace before injury last season. If a guy like Gardner is a quality every day CF, Eaton very likely can get it done. Not denying that but he hasn't gotten it done at the major league level yet whether it was injury related or not. I'm certainly not looking down on the trade, I just want to see what Eaton is before I get overly excited about it because I still like Hector's upside as well. -
We already got our 3b and catcher, his name is Paul Konerko.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 08:19 PM) So people really think Santiago should have netted more than an mlb starting cfer and lead off man that is cost controlled for many years? Jeez. Rock, we aren't sure that Eaton is a legit starting cf yet. For me it's high upside for high upside with Hector having proven a little bit more at the big league level and Eaton having a potential higher value to our team. Like I said, I think it's pretty fair on paper, just have to wait and see how Eaton and Hector end up turning out. -

QUOTE (Knuckles @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 05:03 PM) Hahn just called Eaton a "dirtbag ball player" He's so grindy but talented grindy. I will take him under my wing to make him the grindiest of the grindy.
