  1. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Nov 23, 2010 -> 09:03 AM) I wonder when the first big deal for the Sox will occur. When was the first big one last year? The Teahan deal was like right after the World Series but big time trades usually don't happen that early.
  2. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Nov 23, 2010 -> 07:29 AM) Obviously MSU is much better as a team this year than the Huskies, but I'm really looking forward to the Kemba Walker-Kalin Lucas matchup. Two quickest guards in the country Kemba's unreal. That was a good win for UCONN and a bad loss for WSU last night, not cause the Huskies aren't talented but a team full of upperclassmen has to win that game last night against a much more inexperienced team(minus Mr. Walker of course) this early in the season if they want to make an at large run later.
  3. QUOTE (zenryan @ Nov 23, 2010 -> 08:40 AM) How far along is the season up there? Do you guys play a 10 game regular season? Just curious because down here in Florida we just completed the first of 5 rounds of the state playoffs. It seems like you guys are further along. Ya, it's a 10 game season up here as well. The championships in each class are already set though and will take place this weekend.
  4. QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 23, 2010 -> 02:02 AM) Yeah he got talked up a lot in the papers, but I think it was just because he's 6'6". Salata is a star though. Nice kid too. Ya, Earl was supposedly getting a bunch of interest from some different MAC schools. We saw Toledo scouts there at one point and unfortunately for him that was the game he looked his absolute worst. And ya, Salata is quite the little player.

    Christina Aguilera looks awful.
  6. QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 22, 2010 -> 11:02 PM) I covered a couple Stevenson games this year and they really didn't impress me. I'm surprised they got as far as they did. Earl really isn't a good QB. Ya, I went to three I believe and honestly, I agree with what you said. Earl has a really good arm, no accuracy whatsoever though. I never left any of the games thinking that they were one of the best teams in the state but they just kept on winning up until Maine South last weekend.
  7. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 22, 2010 -> 09:12 PM) They only have to win 65 of their next 68 games to break the record. They got it. Seriously, this is hilarious, I'm getting so much joy watching these assholes lose.
  8. Nice no risk, high reward type pick up.
  9. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Nov 22, 2010 -> 03:12 PM) Pena was awful as a starter at the end of the year. I can't stand that guy. I'd rather have Carlos f***ing Torres out there and he might be the worst pitcher in history. He started two freakin games at the end of the season(one of which happened to be a quality start), hardly enough of a sample size to make a decision on him as a starter.
  10. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 22, 2010 -> 02:43 PM) Danks and Flowers took quite a fall (and deservedly so), and Morel and Escobar shot up the charts. Danks certainly deserved to fall like a rock, don't really think Flower should have dropped out of the top 10 though.
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 21, 2010 -> 08:03 PM) Eh, he can't be that much worse than Freddy. Duke had an era of more than a run higher than Garcia last season and that was in the National League, so ya apparently he can be much worse than Freddy.
  12. QUOTE (zenryan @ Nov 21, 2010 -> 12:12 AM) I was at the Nebraska-TAMU game. It was blatant cheating by the refs. I was able to take a pic from my seats of the game. Hahahahaha, well played sir!
  13. SIU will not go winless this year, woohoo!
  14. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 20, 2010 -> 09:02 PM) Lake Zurich 21, St. Rita 0 Bears back to Champaign vs. Wheaton Warrenville South. Go Bears I see you made sure to make this thread the week after Stevenson was eliminated. Still got that W over Lake Zurich earlier in the season, so take that Sonik.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 20, 2010 -> 04:15 PM) Hate the short hair I agree with that.
  16. I can look at Emma Watson pictures online, don't need to see the movie.
  17. After Boise destroys Nevada and Alabama beats Auburn next week, the Broncos should be right in line to win the National Title!
  18. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 18, 2010 -> 07:52 PM) Better hitter? 2010 was the first time his OBP was over .300. If you don't like AJ, you won't like Olivo. Yes, the last two years he's been a better than AJ, period.
  19. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Nov 18, 2010 -> 06:31 PM) Agreed. We play that you should have to have the car in eyesight too. Absolutely.
  20. QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 18, 2010 -> 07:19 PM) They really don't need a slap-hitter guy like him. Pierre's already in LF and Rios is a far better CF. Why waste a DH spot on him? Johnny Damon is far from a "slap-hitter."
  21. Well at this point he's a better hitter and much better at throwing runners out than AJ. I guess the two questions would be the price tag and how well he can handle a pitching staff.
  22. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Nov 18, 2010 -> 05:24 PM) You make Noah sound as bad as Dwight Howard from the FT line. Are we thinking other teams are going to go into Hack a Noah mode now or something? That'd be fantastic. Not going to happen with a 70+ ft shooter but I'd be all for it!
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 10:59 PM) I've seen Noah turn the ball over probably 10 times in the last two weeks when he tries to bring the ball up the court. Rose needs to go get that ball from him right away. Also, I know he made the FT last night, but the Bulls are going to lose a game or two this year cause they put the ball in Noah's hands at the end of the game when the other team is trying to foul. Noah has been just fine at the ft line the last few years. Obviously he shouldn't be the first choice to get the ball in those situations but it's certainly not the end of the world if you do.
  24. QUOTE (Real @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 11:43 PM) Ronnie Brewer is awesome. Asik is a beast. lol You're using just Brewer and Asik to compare overall talent levels? Really?
