hopes and expectations are two very different things.... i have high expectations for Quentin...i really think he bounces back and has a huge year I have high hopes for Rios and Beckham....

i love this lineup... Pierre LF Beckham 2b Thome DH Quentin RF Konerko 1b AJ C Rios Cf Teahen 3b Ramirez SS plus its not like Jones wont play plenty vs. lefties spelling thome at DH (perhaps playing the OF with one of pierre or quentin DHing). Kotsay will also play a decent amount giving konerko, and the OFers days off. Vizquel backs all of the IF positions. Its nice that in a pinch, all of Teahen, Beckham, Vizquel and Ramirez can play 2b, and all those guys but Teahen can play SS, and all of them but Ramirez can play 3rd. Gives us alot of protection if there is some injury

my roomate in college took the regular adult one (not the college one) and did well enough to get called to compete in person. apparently the live competition is more than just how well you do, but is also about your personality .....anyways he ended up making it and was on the show....he took second, lost by about 100 bucks

lol i love how 30 second advertisments can spark message boards to drop f bombs, hitler and taliban comparisons in a little over an hour.... its pretty simple people.....tebow as the right to do the ad as protected by the 1st amendment ....if this is your thing, then cool...if you don't like it, thats cool too - just ignore it and move on.... the main thing i can never comprehend is why people get so ferocious at each other for having differing viewpoints. its like some people refuse to acknowledge and fail to understand either side of the argument. I have my own opinion on this topic, which I frankly wouldn't like to share with anyone, but I will say that I'm not outraged by either side, and certainly understand that some people may feel differently on the topic than I do.

the more i think about the jones deal, the more i actually really like it ...the guy had a OPS+ of an even 100 last year, and when he played the OFh last year he had UZR/15 of 24.9 (granted small sample size) obviously his 07 and 08 campaigns were horrendous, but the guy clearly has potential to be above average with the bat if in fact he is in shape, and probably still above average in the field (especially given the fact that our ballpark is about the easiest OF to play)....an OF of pierre (whos defense is above average in LF despite the arm) Jones and Rios (with quentin DHing) would catch everything

well....the house is going to have to pass the senate bill if this thing is going to happen....id say its very unlikely
