  1. Depends on the size of the tear. If it's small they'll do anti-inflammatory mess and see if he can play with it. If its a llarge one he can't play with it's surgery of which there is two types. 1. On the inside where they remove the torn piece and it's 3-8 weeks depending on how much needs to be removed. 2. If it's on the periphery it's a repair and it's 9 months give or take depending on the type of repair they use.
  2. Still a symptoms of the game. Could be that the Sox just have pitchers that have been healthier and havent had it yet. Luckily many of the prospects coming up have already had it.
  3. Welcome to the new age if pitching. Luckily nearly all will return as good or better.
  4. Batstista, keener, gordon, Reyes.
  5. That you can put on the medical staff. Some of it could be on the GM and coaching staff depending on the dynamics. The coaches and such would over ride the medical staff more often 10 years ago. Still does some but not as often.
  6. I know we have had this discussion in the past but you don't seem to understand the concept. The Athletic trainer is NOT responsible for preventing the injuries. This is the responsibility of the strength and conditioning staff. The Athletic trainer is responsible for treating injuries after they happen and returning them to their prior level of function. Changing the head Athletic trainer will not change the occurrence of the injuries. It may change in how quickly they return.
  7. Could be Gonzalez tomorrow and the piggyback Thursday.
  8. He got pushed back a day because of the rainout. He is going 3 innings with schweitzer piggy back tomorrow I think.
  9. Just do it every game. You'll wind up slightly ahead.
  10. Wasn't tightness though. He had a significant tear.
  11. I've been wath8ng more milb than mlb already. The teams are fun to watch.
  12. They aren't trying to. They are trying to lose.
  13. That's true. But then they would have had to wait until that point in the off season to acquire them without really knowing who was available. No matter who they acquire they aren't going to be very good and they won't be around long.
  14. Depends on what they will sign for. They at least want good character guys as the propects show up. They aren't going ti have all 22 year ilds. The union would probably file a grievance.
  15. But as a veteran would you sign a long term deal with a team going through this process right now? It's not if the Sox have the prospects to call up. It's when they will offer the longer deals and when the veterans think they have progressed enough to sign. They aren't trying to win right now.
  16. They only signed stop gap players as the goal is to start bringing up the prospects while they are intentionally losing as they rebuild. As a veteran would you sign a deal with a team where it's obvious this is the plan?
  17. Agreed. Easy access for me. Lots of room out here.
  18. That's one heck of a second opinion. Wasnt that was reported he was doing today?
  19. The jurickson profar rejuvenation plan.
  20. Dang, there is another with the same number. That's great Congratulations!
  21. Did you have your name on the video board? I saw one that said keeping the streak alive with #55, or something like that
  22. Haven't seen this many fights in the bleachers in a long time, excluding Cub games. Walked out if the bathroom and had to hit the ground as fists were flying and security taking down people. Was a great game to be at otherwise. Lots of fun.
