Thus seems to be most likely. All happened during the ramp up to getting ready for this season. Need to wonder about the condition of the elbow strength prior to spring training.
-
It's interesting. The previous surgery was for bone spurs. Has nothing to do with the ligament.
-
Dang. I wonder if he did it ramping up? Either that or didn't give all of the info with the previous one. At least they are all missing a year where the team was still planning on being bad. Next up!
-
I don't think that will matter. I think once he shows he's healthy and gets what they feel is enough spring training at bats, he'll be called up. He would be the starting shortstop now if he was healthy.

He appealed to the non-athlete who thought they knew more about sports than the people involved as that's the way he was. He refused to have the athletes on as they didn't know enough about their sport particularly baseball. He was one of the first to really push analytics because the smart people knew more about baseball than the scouts and people who played. He made the average listener feel more important.

They do have some interesting ones. At least they are all better than average defenders as well.
-
Is their reporting of it really that important? Most GMs, owners, managers don't give any more information than they have to.
-
Yep. He will until he is ready to leave.
-
I think it's going to be a around 5 years give or take a couple.

Brisket curds.

Been in those too. 😆

I think it's a little different with people just arguing as a opposed to someone getting paid a hefty sum for it. Get me hammered in a bar and I may just argue that the bears should sign Rogers as a backup.
-
Agreed. With being on the board of the kids camp you would think even he would know better.
-
Wow, about time with all of his rants. He was great when he first started but the ego and arrogance got the best of him. The bad side is that he was also removed from the board of the kids camp. He really did do a lot for them.
-
It will be interesting to see what the twins sell for now that the front runner for the purchase dropped out.
-
No doubt.
-
Not where he lived. Guess you could gobeither way. Just funny he didn't live in Naperville. Can't say asked him where he was born. But he'll tell you he isn't from Naperville. Not a criticism, just funny.
-
Eh, he would be fine until Montgomery is deemed ready. None of the current crop is much. Although gray has looked decent. Whomever it is is just the placeholder.
-
I love that line. He's not even from Naperville. Went to Naperville schools. He lived in Bolingbrook.

I agree. I think far too many people are impatient and want to bring up prospects before they are ready. Ready isnt just numbers. It takes into account more things like being emotionally and mentally ready for the failure in the MLB. They will fail more in the MLB then succeed. Even the best players are out more then they succeed at the plate. These are aspects that fans can't know. Even the teams don't know for sure but the coaches who interact with them everyday have a better sense if this. The Sox aren't trying to win right now. The only thing that matters is the development of their current players throughout the system. In theory they see what they have this year and start filling in next year. The complicating factor us the impending strike. Are teams going to sign deals next year if they know a significant lock out/strike is coming?

Fire the strength and conditioning staff and pitching coaches. They obviously don't know how to prepare pitchers for spring training. Bannister and Katz must go. /green.
-
Yep. It's all rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic at this point.
-
They said on one of the podcasts that Schuster was probably going to be a starter at Charlotte with adams injured.
-
He did for injuries with the physicians. Not the strength and conditioning nor the off season workouts.
