  1. Agreed. Lots of adversity and have mostly played two of the better teams in the AL.
  2. The good thing it is that with all of this they are still at .500 and have a decent shot at the playoffs with the format this year. The pitching depth won't be as much of an issue in the playoffs. This year is a good progression for the young players and should help for next year.
  3. They look to be developing some really good bullpen pieces.
  4. So what was preventing the sox from scoring? It's not a key win or loss. It's a win or a loss. Odds are anytime you have a bullpen day it's going to be a loss. The offense needs to help at least a little.
  5. What key wins. Unless a shutout was thrown today they weren't going to win.
  6. That's right circle campus. I forgot about that.
  7. Not a fan of posting for these reasons either. I prefer to be betting yelled at for saying the owners have valid concerns or keuchal is the best FA option for the Sox. ?
  8. It looks awesome but do you know how much sideways spin that pitch must have? That's a UCL tear waiting to happen.
  9. You've never seen rock n roll high school? How dare you call yourself a music fan. PJ Soles was a dream. When Stripes came out my first comment was " that's PJ " from Rock n Roll high school. The first time I was them was at UIC too. But I think it was 82 or 83.
  10. I didnt see it but if it's a bicep issue near the elbow, not too big of a deal. If it's at the shoulder end, its potentially an issue.
  11. There are always going to be behind the scenes reasons why thing like this occur. They dont even always become public like this.
  12. Not that I dont disagree with Grandal sitting but comparing a physical limitation/error to a mental isn't fair.
  13. Unfortunately, you arent far off. The substance just changes.
  14. I agree with the short season this year. However, in a normal year this is too short sighted. There are times when moves need to be made especially with pitching with the long season in mind. The smart manager knows how to play so the team is ready for October not worn out and beat by October.
  15. That's reasonable. I always considered this year to be the "start winning year" with next year being the true contention year. It looks like it's the pitching audition ye. It has been fairly successful so far. The new guys of Lambert, Heuer and Foster all look like they could be MLB pitchers, at least until Lambert went down. Hopefully Dunning and steiver make appearances and look good as well. This season staff would look better with Kopech instead of Gonzalez. This is a good progression toward next year.
  16. No. That is a dislocation. His was a pop in the joint above it, the AC joint. His "popped" going up not out.
  17. Yeah, trying to make excuses as to why they didn't rank him as high as others. "opinions widely varied" only because of their publication. No one else's opinion varied.
  18. ? I didn't see the swing but I should have known.
  19. No. That is one of the most stable joints in the body. It's the only bony attachment of the entire shoulder girdle to the body. If he injured it badly he couldn't lift his arm. They won't do cortisone injections as it too close to the jugular and throat. A little mobilization and NSAIDs and he'll be fine in a few days.
  20. Must have been a big swing to get all the way to the SC joint.
