March 15, 2004 - White Sox vs. Rockies
Konerko is a proven major league hitter and Gload is still a question mark. I don't think you can evaluate Gload based on an Arizona spring training. Having said that, I wouldn't mind trading Konerko and a pitching prospect for a starting pitcher and a LH hitting prospect. If Gload can handle the 1B duties, great. If not, we can move Carlos Lee to 1B, or put Frank in. We have enough good young outfielders that one of them can fill Lee's spot. But, if we do trade Konerko, don't be real surprised if he has a good year and Ross Gload just doesn't cut it.

Ozzie Challenges Loaiza
It kind of sounds like Ozzie's wondering the same thing.

RIP: They died in Iraq
This current administration needs to be questioned, and questioned hard. Unfortunately, John Kerry is not the one to do it since he is a Skull & Bones frat brother of Bush. Apu, I have a question for regarding the following: Does the elimination of creationism in the schools lead to free thinking? It's seems to that allowing it to be considered as an option or possibility would allow for creative debate and more free thinking, not less.

Hey Guys!
It's good to see you make an appearance. Hang in there, as you said.... only two months to go.

I absolutely agree. Allowing someone the benefit of the doubt involving a typo or incorrect spelling in unacceptable.

Favorite Sport
Baseball .... major league, minor leaguue, college, youth, whatever .... is and always will be my number one sport. Followed by NFL, NHL, NCAA Hoops. I have mild interest in most other sports, anything from golf to Nascar to NCAA football. I always enjoy the Olympics also, though they overkill the coverage of figure skating.

I know it's been mentioned a couple of times, but you Illini fans better not take Murray St for granted. They are capable of beating Illinois. The Illini should win this game, but unless Murray leaves it's A game at home, it won't be a walk in the park.

Aaron Rowand
Last off season I spent a lot of time on this board defending Carlos Lee against a flood of Lee-bashers. This off season, Rowand's been the guy and I hope ARow comes through like Carlos did. I believe he will.

Steve Stone
Which is unfortunate because Jose was very solid at short last year.

Good Article on Cotts
The thing that caught my attention was a quote by Don Cooper: If Cotts has his command, he's ready to be a major league starter.

Borchard is done
I think Gload and Burke will win those two spots.

Ken Griffey Jr. Article
On the surface, sticking a healthy Griffey in the middlw of the lineup looks great. But, that's about it. Every analysis of the situaion screams that it would be a major mistake, in my opinion.

Refused Caesarean: Baby Dies
The U. S. Supreme Court has already determined that a woman has the freedom of choice when it comes to her body vs her baby. I don't see where the state has a leg to stand on here. Also, they are saying the woman was obligated to submit to an invasive medical procedure whether she wanted to or not. Then you can also get into the aspects of religious beliefs, though I don't know if was part of the equation here.

Moronatti proves his stupidity again.
No true Sox fan will EVER consider Mariotti a Sox fan.

Curling on NBC!
You mean I missed curling while I watching Kentucky hoops and Sox baseball? DAMN! Seriously, curling is an interesting sport to watch at times. It's just low on my priority list.

Did UM ever teach it's basketball players how to count time outs?

Sox vs Cubs 3/13/04
He gave up 3 consecutive rockets. This kid wasn't fooling anybody, even if they were Cubs.

No Enthusiasm?
Did anyone call the Dept. of Family Services and report this gross negligence on the part of the Credes? Get real.

NCAA hoops thread
There were some good close games on tonight. In the SEC, the Western Division has been completely eliminated. KY vs. So. Carolina and Vandy vs. Florida in the semi's. And it's always good to see North Carolina fall, as well.

Sox's play angers Guillen
He talked to the team this morning (3/12). Maybe we can forever retire the words "corpse ball". I hope so.

Sox vs Cubs 3/13/04
Yeah, it's better than no game.

Sox vs Cubs 3/13/04
WGN ... Cubs broadcast team in the both.

I'm impressed with so far....
With his work ethic, I can see why you make that comparison. However, Dykstra was a leadoff type guy. Rowand will be your decent young outfielder for a couple of years, then we will develop some power down the road, ala Finley. At least, I hope it goes that well for him.

Francisco Campos...
He opened some eyes in the B games. Then he made Ozzie want to close his eyes today.

Diminshed Skills
It's sounds like you have a pretty solid theory to support your arguement, and statistics to back up the theory. Of course, this guy probably won't allow himself to be convinced.
