Granted his high BABIP early on masks alot of suckitude but defensively and durability wise he's solid and that's important, especially if the Sox are trying to break in Rodon next year. Not saying they can't do better -- they can -- but he's at least an option, that's positive.

Good, let Jose rest up he's earned it. I'd also like to see Alexei continue to get more days off as well. Eaton and Avi should keep playing to continue to get more experience.

The beat reporters don't even both to lookup the contract status of De Aza and Beckham and/or understand the non tender. It was doubtful either would have been brought back even if they weren't traded. Hahn is getitng rather creative with the ID of "saved money" imo.
