Never hunted, and I don't think I ever will. But, I had venison once, and it was delicious.

Do you watch women's sports?

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 04:58 PM) We're in the minority. I don't give a s*** about college sports. Nobody understands it, I've stopped bothering to explain. Same here. -
If Getz could turn into a leadoff hitter, that'd be just perfect. It would solve a lot of problems going forward.

QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 12:47 PM) Fob = Forward Operating Base.. I dont know any seals, but ive met tons ot Army Rangers, and Special Forces types.. Even a couple of Delta boys when i was in kuwait. The training is definitely not easy. if youre going to seriously pursue it, first off you have to make sure ur in amazing shape, make sure u can run like the wind and do pushups and situps for days. Also make sure u can read a map like its nothing and that youre not scared of heights. basically everyone told me the same thing, dring the training there will be days where you will absolutely just want to tap out but the ones that make it through are the ones that just plain refuse to quit.. i know it sounds simple but the crap they put you through in the training is quite unlike anything ull ever experience ever again. Oh, I had absolutely no intention of trying to join. Haha, the idea of me even making it through a day of that training is hilarious. I just wondered if anyone here had personal experience with it.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 02:20 AM) Walk around CiCi's Pizza's parking lot; you find one there with their logo on it, you get free food. I have no clue where any of those are.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 10:58 PM) Urine is sterile guys, not really a big deal. Really. Get your piss-money. I had a nice laugh at this. Good job.

QUOTE (vandy125 @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 04:08 PM) Shouldn't there be an option for the superstitious who only pick it up when Lincoln is facing up? I usually just leave em. That's me. When it comes to change, I keep all of my quarters in my car's ashtray and I give all of the pennies, nickels, and dimes to my siblings for their change jars.

I just bought a trimmer. It was about 15 bucks, and I use it once a week for about 30 seconds.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 02:14 PM) Am I the only one that really really wanted to make a joke about how I wished it was me hitting her with a ball etc.? No, I just couldn't think of a funny way to phrase it.

What does FOB stand for? Also, is/was anyone on this site a SEAL? I know the chances are slim, but you never know. Does anyone know one personally?

Former Sox Minor League Daniel Cortes Traded to M's

The hate for Armstrong, at least in my view, is that he's sanctified for surviving cancer. It's a great feat, no doubt, but the man left his wife (who stood by him throughout his battle), and then he just dumped her for that singer as soon as he got famous. He's also a steroid user (but they all are in cycling, so that doesn't really matter). Surviving cancer doesn't make you a good person.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 06:40 AM) This just in: The Phillies can hit. They've now got FOUR guys with 20 or more homers before the all-star break. That's only happened one time in league history (2000 Toronto Blue Jays). I did not expect the last sentence to end that way.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 11:09 PM) Hamilton's a different case. He's a feel good story that the fans clinged onto. If Hill was having a much better year than Kinsler than he'd have my vote. But they're having similar years, where the only big difference is batting average. But there is a difference, and it's supposed to be the guy having the better year that goes. Your argument is the reason why so many undeserving guys become all-stars each year. I'll put ____ into the ASG because he's normally better than ____, even though he statistically isn't this year. Hill has the better numbers, no matter how marginal, he should be the all-star.

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 12:29 AM) I really enjoyed it the first time I saw it. For some reason, it came accross as far fetched and really, really silly the second time. I've never done a 180 on a film like that. Oh yes, it was definitely out there. I think it was meant that way to kind of show how the events unfolded in the eyes of the child (and the stories he was told by his mother and father).

QUOTE (Tex @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 10:01 AM) Biters? Is there anything better than suddenly finding a longish nail that somehow was overlooked? It sounds weird, but that is one of the better little joys in life.
-
I don't think I've ever cut my fingernails. I've bitten them for as long as I can remember, but hardly ever to the point where they hurt. The way I see it, most guys bite their fingernails.
-
QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 08:46 PM) It's a weak argument but Hill also has around 40 more AB's...Hill's having a career year yeah. But, give me Kinsler any day of the week. The ASG is supposed to be the best players from the current year. Your argument is basically the reason why guys like Hamilton get elected to the game. Give me Hamilton over _____ any day of the week (except for the time between opening day and today).

Life Is Beautiful was very good, but extremely depressing.

Take Wakefield off of that list immediately. There is absolutely no reason to consider him as a Cy Young contender.

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jul 8, 2009 -> 11:22 PM) Another solid win and pitching was good again! Alexei really starting to hit, love to see him take it the opposite way every now and then, keep the pitchers honest. Box score on MLB.com had attendance as 26,772, considering how crappy the weather was all day today, that's a solid number I think that's the effect that Beckham has had on the team since being called up. I'm pretty sure I've noticed a lot of the other players swinging more for doubles and singles, along with going to the opposite field, in recent weeks.

QUOTE (qwerty @ Jul 8, 2009 -> 07:22 PM) Brandon allen for tony pena (reliever) from the diamondbacks He said trades, though. I wasn't sure if something got past me. Kap, I also liked the feature.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 8, 2009 -> 07:04 PM) If he had, would we necessarily know about it? Well, I've heard that he liked to be peed on, so I would hope I'd also hear about him molesting kids.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 8, 2009 -> 06:46 PM) When we have a few hundred posters on in a couple concentrated topics, it does. It was turned off again because of the trades and the volume it generated. Trades? Did I miss one?

Milkman delivers replied to sayitaintso's topic in The Diamond Club
If you thought the name of this thread was hard to believe, imagine this title: Andy Gonzalez takes the roster spot of Hanley Ramirez.
