of all the names you listed Kotsay probably interests me the most for some reason. Not sure what his range is in CF anymore but it must be better than Swisher. Plus, Kotsay has been a leadoff hitter with some decent numbers.

Dye is allright in RF. the problem is that over the last three years includes '07 when he was running with one calf or whatever. That was not fun to watch at all. Still have no clue why he was not DLd.

2000 was way better. That offense was explosive. This year was brutal to watch at times. I have never been more frustrated while the sox were in first. I still do not know how this year added up to a playoff spot. It seriously felt like we lost a lot more than we won.

Ratings be damned, this should be a very fun series to watch.

in all honesty, and I can't believe I am saying this, I think Uribe deserves a considerable chance at being our third baseman next year. He has played great defense and has hit like .300 while being our 3B. Two things I question that Josh could do. We know Uribe has the ability to hit around 20 HR and 70 RBI. I like Fields and thought he should have been our guy going into next year but sometimes you have to look at what is right in front of you. There should be some competition next year in spring. At the very least it seems Uribe can be a hell of a bench player.

would have been number one on my list. He has been my favorite since way before I can remember. I became a fan of the A's while he was there. Then I would up playing for the orioles in little league while he was there the second time. He had a hell of a season in 1999 and made the all-star game. Had a pinch hit too I believe.
