  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 4, 2012 -> 11:43 AM) He was broke as hell last night. I at least shoot better than 25%! mmhhmmmmm
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 4, 2012 -> 08:28 AM) Obviously last night's game showed that the Bulls need Rip Hamilton if they want to not look like the team that lost in 5 to the Heat last year. Kyle Korver had me reliving that nightmare with his missing of wide open f***ing 3's (seriously, if you can't hit those, be the f*** gone, man). Ronnie Brewer's brief streak from deep was long gone as he was shooting worse from deep than I do in my Thursday night league. Rip isn't the perfect answer, but at least he's not afraid to step up in the big game with a big shot. As some posters already stated, just let the man rest and be 100% in a week or so, even if these games in a shortened schedule are crucial. I wish like hell Joakim Noah were right, but something is still very, very off with him. He's a shell of the player we saw in the first half last year. Suffice to say, this team is going to once again lean extremely hard on Derrick Rose all season long. I do not believe this nonsense
  3. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 4, 2012 -> 10:42 AM) I understand you guys pointing out some of the inefficiencies in our offense under Martz, however, IMHO, we were making some major strides this year before the injury. I don't know for instance, that while someone else might have made better use of Cutler, that Martz didn't make the best use of the entire offensive personnel he had available to him. I'd love to have Olsen back, but other than that, I think he got the best use out of Forte and Knox and possibly even Roy Williams than might have otherwise been the case under another coordinator. At the same time though, everytime the offense made strides with Martz the past 2 years, it was after catastrophic games where Cutler was absolutely murdered and Martz was forced to scale back the offense and ditch his 7 and 5 step drops. Martz is a great offensive mind that gets in his own way sometimes.
  4. QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 4, 2012 -> 09:27 AM) Is that why he put the plays in so late? yep, he needed time to survey the defense. And since he wasnt on the field, he had to relay it to SHane Day who relayed it to Cutler. And of course, if it was a disguised defense and Cutler saw through it and knew it was going to be a busted play, there was very very little he could do about it.
  5. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 4, 2012 -> 08:52 AM) You would be going on what he did in Buffalo, Carolina and Indy(just not the last 3 years). I would tell him to leave his kid at home. If it was simply a case of telling him to leave his kid at home I think he would still be employed by the Colts. Seems like they are a package deal.
  6. I just don't see why the Polians are so attractive. Basically the exact same thing happened to the Colts that happened to the Bears. They lost their star QB and an astonishing lack of depth was exposed on an aging defense and offense. So, why the Polians?
  7. Tex, I believe you found concrete that broke off the road.
  8. Dez Clark was on the score yesterday and he really gave bigtime props to Cutler and his ability to play and understand the game. He all but said that a different OC was necessary because Martz didnt try and use Cutlers ability to make in-game decisions by himself and Cutler needs that to be effective.
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 10:13 PM) I know it's only January 3rd. But I nominate this for worst post of 2012. I don't even need to wait the remaining 362 days to see if somebody tops this one. I don't know, I think it is brilliant.
  10. The ref with the delayed whistle all night was fun. Most of the time the player hit the floor and the ball was rebounded before the whistle blew.
  11. QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 06:03 PM) What's the definition of Holmgrening? It is a heavier form of Parcellsing, but also with a mustache

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 12:00 PM) I want to be the first person to post that "the Tank is out of gas" when he hits his first slump. Nobody steal that, OK? its cool, joecoolman24 will just say something like "hotfire isnt hot"

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 12:11 PM) Total Recall? I didn't realize they were doing that again. Or is it a sequel? Remake starring Colin Farrell. Supposed to be much closer to the source material than the Ahhhnold version. More of a spy thriller QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 12:52 PM) I would like to nominate a motion for nobody to bring up the Total Recall "remake" again. i would like to nominate you to SHUT YOUR FACE
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 11:39 AM) Dude, Lovie wasn't canned, so that choice is obvious. Also, anything McCaskey. I'd love it if they hired McKenzie. Hard to single them out right now, they(as in George) did what we have been asking them to do for the past 3 years. Besides, Hegone33 is just trying to get a rise out of bears fans right now, since his perennial contender 49ers has shown everyone how to win their division with regularity over the past 5 years like the Bears have. Oh, wait.....

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 11:09 AM) We'll see this year, but I know he is overvalued by SoxTalk (in general). He was actually slumpin in September last season when 'the book was out on him'. He never was quite the same last season after he hurt his thumb again around the time of the minor league all star game. i dont think we have seen what he truly can do yet
  16. QUOTE (G&T @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 09:14 AM) Doubtful. No GM is coming without bringing his own people. the Bears dont pay people to go away very often. I doubt they do it for Angelo and Lovie
  17. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 09:12 AM) Wow!!! Did not see that coming. Wonder if Lovie stays. Most likely he just became lame duck like Jauron did when Angelo came on. Lovie better hope that the new GM doesnt set him up to fail like Angelo did to Jauron
  18. He should be fired. What he did to Cutler is borderline criminal
  19. DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD!!!!!!!

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 2, 2012 -> 11:07 PM) Finally got around to watching The Prestige. Not bad. I like Bowie as Tesla. He brought the same weird guy vibe that he brought to "Labyrinth"
  22. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 2, 2012 -> 02:56 PM) If it's anyone but Jericho I'll be quite angry. Oh happy day!
  23. Hey look, j4l is telling everyone how the season will end, like he always does, since he is always right. Right? Didn't the heat win 72+ games last year and the title?
  24. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 2, 2012 -> 02:57 PM) The Tebow experiment is over, teams have figured the scrub out and he will do next to nothing vs the Steelers. No way in hell it is over, he gets next season as full time starter. Im not saying it is justified, but it will happen "Tebow led the Broncos to the playoffs" will be the rally call. And it will be that largely misinforming statement that will get him next season.
  25. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 2, 2012 -> 02:45 PM) Redskins or Broncos. No way I can see Elway making that move. Redskins, 100 percent. I think Elway will let this Tebow thing go on until people realize he is not a fit NFL QB(i know, such a hater I am), then he will get his franchise QB via draft.
