Brett Favre is willing to listen to the Bears
QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 6, 2011 -> 06:15 AM) So you're saying you'd be against the signing? I think he was saying that the pastrami sandwich is to die for

QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Dec 2, 2011 -> 03:35 PM) What's left to resolve? The facts seem clear. Is there a legal shoe that's yet to drop? I dont know if he has been reinstated by the MLB yet because of his identity theft charges in the Dominican Republic. It will probably be cleared up though

LET'S MAKE A LIST NOV-DEC '11
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 07:39 PM) Take it easy, man. It's an easy joke. Im not getting upset MM, but come on now. Imagine how you would react if i said the exact same thing about a villain you chose, you would defend your choice too. I thought Fiennes was an intense, scary and completely heartless villain, and Voldemort was even moreso in the books. I also know that there are plenty of extremely good villains that were left out of my list unintentionally(totally spaced out on two MAJOR villains and didnt feel like resubmitting and giving knightni more work to do), but these lists will probably look different for all of us 10 years from now. Except for flasoxx. he probably will always have the same list of classic horror villains from now until the day he dies

LET'S MAKE A LIST NOV-DEC '11
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 06:45 PM) I wans't questioning the validity. It just seems too young for guys posting on this site to vote for. We all grew up with Disney villains. Harry Potter came out when most of us were 20+. so my age determines whether i can recognize if Voldemort is a good villain or not? What other qualifiers should i look out for?

LET'S MAKE A LIST NOV-DEC '11
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 01:44 PM) Voldemort really, guys? And the Saw franchise is terrible, but that discussion has been rehashed over and over on this board. Feel free to submit your own list that lords over everyone elses lists The quality of the overall film doesnt always effect the quality of a good villain. I look at the body of work, how many lives are affected and destroyed, the type of damage inflicted etc. There was a lot that went into it for me

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 01:55 PM) Pointless. Not if the reward pans out. Im not all for this, but it is certainly not pointless

after oakland and kc, if the bears think they still have a shot then unfortunately McNabb probably needs to be signed. Hanie just doesnt have it, even the manager/placeholder mentality is not there

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 4, 2011 -> 02:14 PM) The throw was way short, Knox had his man beat if the ball would've just been thrown in stride. im not saying hanies throw was good, it was dreadful. knox has to recognize the ball is underthrown and make sure that ball isnt intercepted. as always, he didnt, and it was. good lord throw enderle in. this is awful

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 4, 2011 -> 02:11 PM) That was not Knox's fault. Hanie's throw was s***. stop defending him. wilcots was right he made no play on the ball. very common for knox

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Dec 4, 2011 -> 01:35 PM) lol this is the Chiefs we're talking about. That's probably all they'll score. Maybe a random field goal in the 2nd half. On the other hand, Caleb Hanie..... Hanies master plan to get the bears to turn to McNabb is impressive to say the least

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 4, 2011 -> 01:37 PM) Martz supposedly will either be fired or not have his contract extended. Kinda weird timing for this news to break. He wont have his contract extended after this year to pursue HC opportunities. He wont be fired

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 4, 2011 -> 12:40 PM) Peppers is hurt? i have a feeling the turf monster isnt done yet. not by a long shot. but hey, who needs artificial turf when you can replace it on the morning of a game!

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 4, 2011 -> 12:36 PM) Hester has to catch the ball. If its a FC, fine, but he lets too many hit the turf and bounce deep into Bears' territory. He'll probably run one back later and all will be forgiven. Hanie has started far too many drives behind the 10 yard line because of Hesters decisions. Cutler too

the combination of Hanie and Hesters inexplicable return slump have given the bears hideous field position in the past 2 games.

Sox Winter Meetings thread
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Dec 4, 2011 -> 11:09 AM) QUOTE A change in plans forced cancellation of general manager Ken Williams' conference call Saturday with reporters. Driving up prices? Change of plans? Reading comments here and on various sites I think maybe the change of plans could be that the company car wouldn't start as it needed a new engine- a complete overhaul- and the team is so broke It couldn't even afford to rotate the tires or change the oil now everything must be replaced. KW just couldn't make it as he is looking to hock off spare parts to fix up the old jalopy. what is this crap? you are the one telling us we need to keep the car because the front right cv joint was recently replaced, and the rear passenger side tire is kind of new, and the steering wheel isnt so bad.
