  1. Here caulfield, there is a place you can discuss Royals all day long and nobody will care http://www.scout.com/mlb/royals/forums/205...sas-city-royals
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 6, 2015 -> 09:05 AM) Only saw 4th quarter yesterday, did McDermott start over Snell? Yep. And when Snell came in he immediately threw two passes at people looking the other way
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 6, 2015 -> 12:19 AM) It seems like every day some media type is trying to get "the big one" on Carson. They keep bringing up things he's said and appear to be trying to get him to lose favor with voters drastically. How come Obama was basically off limits from this kind of stuff. It was all kind, gentle coverage of Obama during his eight years. Hillary's getting the kid gloves, too. In this world of cliches and 20-second max soundbites, the main story on Hillary is ... "Big Bad Republicans Continue to Attack Hillary Who Did Nothing Wrong with Her Emails and Did Nothing Wrong Regarding Benghazi" Meanwhile, they are trying to make Carson look like a Loonie-Tune (despite him being an incredible surgeon and brilliant man). The overwhelming vibe given from media's coverage of Ben Carson is that he's a man with weird thoughts and ideas; Meanwhile they are trying to make Trump also look like a Loonie-Tune and a sexist and an all around bad guy; and finally they scoff at the rest of the Republican candidates as merely being unworthy of high office. What's with the media going after Carson?? Do they not like his voice or something? His voice is kinda weird sounding. Considering his resume I do not think Carson is some scary-thinking bizarre cat, which the media is kinda wanting us to believe! They certainly aren't giving us the picture of Carson as a brilliant surgeon; no way is that the media's portrayal of Ben. Yea, Hilary is certainly getting the kid gloves, all of the candidates have had to go before congress and answer questions just like her. I like Ben Carsons assumptions that the pyramids were just large granaries built by Joseph. I totally want the president of the United States to be completely ignorant of the world.
  4. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 08:06 AM) Bulls/Thunder tonight. OKC 137 CHI 108 Seem reasonable? Yea pretty reasonable
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 07:29 PM) I'm more than happy to praise the White Sox if they actually do something right. At this point, Flash Tizzle, myself and a few others have made our point/s. Now if we see these "the KC Royals are totally a product of LUCK" arguments, they had to be terrible for 30 years (when Moore took over as GM in 2006 and didn't draft anyone until 2007), they're ONLY a product of high draft picks for being so terrible in the last 15-20 years, then I'll be more than happy to rebut that. Every comment doesn't have to include a royals tidbit or qualifier. That's all you do, people are sick of it. The end
  6. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 04:58 PM) Do we know that he was drunk when he went home with the accuser? Pretty sure there is video and pics of him smashed at a bar with those girls before they went back to his house
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 05:07 PM) Why is Royals crap in this thread? Do you really have to ask??
  8. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 12:58 PM) Great. My point is that I know Kershaw is the best pitcher in baseball (and obviously better than Quintana), but I don't think I'm "nuts" for thinking that his ERA would be 2 or higher if he had to face a DH instead of a pitcher once every 9 batters. He'd still be the best, and his ERA probably would be close to 2, but it would surely increase. I had more of an issue with you calling him overrated
  9. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 12:04 PM) And letting Fairley and Suh go for nothing. Also trading for an aging Ngata didn't help either. Ngata was a FA iirc
  10. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 09:23 AM) Nope. If Kershaw pitched in the AL, there's no way he'd have multiple seasons with an ERA under 2. He'd still be better than Quintana, though. lmao you are nuts. Kershaw is crazy dominant
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 11:53 AM) It is only his 2nd year right? I am going to imagine his time will come in the off-season, but someone needs to stay around. Plus, didn't Caldwell make the playoffs in his first season, or am I misremembering things? It is his second year, and quite a year it has been. It has been a while since they have looked this uninspired. I mean, if you you are cleaning house, and his superiors and underlings have all been fired, you might as well make it a clean sweep
  12. Apparently they are going through the building firing others as well
  13. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 07:06 AM) Agreed. There's really nothing here that warrants action, so outrage is just wasted. Outrage from us, totally unconnected people, maybe. There is a lot of people that put a lot of effort into manhunts and fundraisers and all kinds of different things associated with this, and I think their outrage is justified. Im sure Epic Deli is feeling betrayed by someone they felt was a good person after they raised all that money for his family, 95.1 WILrock also had a fundraiser and wrote a long post regarding the situation.
  14. QUOTE (Ballz-n-Strikes @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 02:21 AM) No it doesn't. Speak for yourself. I just hit 40 and I can't remember a time in my life where things have been this easy to recollect. Stop writing as if you speak for "fans" or "40 year olds"... You don't. If the Sox make a play for "Upton"...will you know which one before you post a lecture? On the same side of the coin you can stop talking as if you speak for the site. You dont.
  15. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 4, 2015 -> 03:00 PM) Wasn't that immediately debunked though? Like within days because they found the woman making the false report? The officer called in the description. I'm talking about the immediate reaction with the helicopters and extra cops and such, not the days following
  16. The overreaction also was because people thought three people who just killed a cop were on the loose and nobody knew anything about them except a general description and race
  17. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 4, 2015 -> 11:44 AM) We don't know whether Alomar believed that or not. In fact, it almost sounded like Alomar didn't want to come here because he didn't want it to be implied he was in that position. I agree with everything you said Elrockin. http://espn.go.com/blog/mlb/post/_/id/9990...r-venturas-sake seems to me he believed that to be the case
  18. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Nov 4, 2015 -> 11:31 AM) Do folks really believe we are looking for a bench coach for the 2016 season with the the sole purpose of replacing Robin Ventura? Robin would know this as would the players and coaches. It would be a tremendous insult and why would Ventura want to even come back for the next season, or the Spx mess around like that? The job of the bench coach would be similar to have a right hand next to the manager to deal with the players and assist with moves during the game and after. It us toi make the team better and not to embarrass the manager. Dude, Sandy Alomar believed that and that is why he turned down the job. Dont act like this is a forum making s*** up
  19. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 3, 2015 -> 07:50 PM) In a 40 pt game Portis still can't get minutes. Wtf? Yea, and in a game where nobody has energy. Let the kid play a little bit
  20. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 3, 2015 -> 05:50 PM) Denver traded 3 picks for Vernon Davis, not 1. No, Denver traded a 2016 and 2017 6th round pick for Davis and a 7th round pick, 2 picks where one was swapped I'm not saying the Bears won the day I'm just satisfied with the return considering what Davis got.
