  1. How does a wwe superstar explain to a grade school kid why they shouldn't bully other kids?
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 02:23 PM) You're all wrong. Brock needs to shock the world at mania again and win and hold it until WM 32, after secretly resigning. i am pretty sure you will forget Brocks name in mid april
  3. QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 01:22 PM) No we don't. There's no proof he used, though there are stories from ex-players. But he never failed any test or was caught doing anything illegal. Ok, when you start providing proof to the contrary I guess we will all say that Reddy is correct. I am just gonna sit here and say its pretty weird that Brady Anderson had an insane statistical year in the same season that McGwire and Sosa started breaking baseballs. Why he discontinued using them? I have no idea, maybe he had a come to jesus moment where he worried about the aftereffects and stopped using. Some people have a guilty conscience about these things
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 01:19 PM) Because Anderson only used them for one season while Piazza kept using them his whole career? It's not rocket science here. ding Dan Uggla is another guy you can look at and be very suspicious of his numbers before MLB PED testing got pretty tough.
  5. QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 12:56 PM) Nah. See Brady Anderson and the hundreds of other players who didn't become superstars. They don't make bad players hall of famers. But regarding CQ. Reeeeeally? Brady Anderson was a superstar for a season, actually. Dude hit 50 homeruns out of nowhere and had an MVP season, then went back to being a normal guy with a lot of injury problems.

Jupiter Ascending (32.1M) and The Seventh Son(7.1M) destroyed at the box office this weekend by Spongebob(56M). Wachowskis need to stop. Like now.
  7. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 10:33 AM) They could have paid him and he wouldn't have had to take less money since he was their own free agent. They coupe have kept Durant/Harden/Westbrook/Ibaka together but didn't want to pay the luxury tax. Horrible move how long could they have kept all four? I was under the impression that it was Hardens RFA year and they knew that if they signed him that someone else was gonna be squeezed.
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 8, 2015 -> 08:37 PM) James Harden for Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb, and picks has now got to be one of the biggest ripoffs in nba history. It's him or Curry (with LeBron lurking) for MVP at this point. OKC didnt really have much of a choice in the matter, they had to move him or watch him walk. Extremely bitter pill to swallow, but they couldnt pay Durant/Harden/Westbrook all the max. I suppose they could have, and attempted the Heat model, but even the Heat model had Lebron and Wade taking a little bit less. Harden wanted to get paid
  9. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 09:17 AM) You think Rollins is boring? I think he's the best thing about WWE right now. In ring, on the mic, he's got it all. Love Bryan too of course. But Rollins is more than ready IMO Rollins is boring on the mic, extremely. He is great in the ring but he just sounds whiny on the mic. And I understand thats his character now, the heel chaser, i just dont find any of his mic work worth s***.
  10. .327/37 HR/119 RBI
  11. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 08:40 AM) Honestly Ithink the right move is Rollins as champ by that Monday night. Yea, boring champs are fun They need to put the strap on Bryan and let him run from Rollins and Reigns for a little while before they give those two a shot. Both of those guys have a ways to go before they are worthy of the belt, imo. Bryan has the "overcoming overwhelming odds" momentum behind him that put CM Punk on another level.
  12. If Bryan doesnt win that match, and Reigns is force fed the title, there will be much internet hand wringing and angry words

Well, at least we dont live in New York/Boston. (most of us)
  14. how about instead of locking it up, we just cease talking about what Douglas said and resume the farewell tour.
  15. QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 8, 2015 -> 04:58 PM) Sorry, it was a 1 WARP according to BP. He had a 3.57 FIP and a 9.1 VORP, making him our third most valuable pitcher last season. He had a .339 BABIP. He was unlucky. Sorry, he was very bad. You can throw various stats at me all you want, the guy sucked.
  16. James Dolan is one of the dumbest owners in sports. That is all
  17. QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 8, 2015 -> 04:44 PM) Belisario was almost a 2 WAR pitcher last year FYI. He got incredibly unlucky. I don't care what you and DA are arguing about, but if WAR says Belisario was merely unlucky than its flaws are worse than I thought. Belisario was incredibly terrible last season, not unlucky

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 8, 2015 -> 07:32 AM) No! Unless you're a right wing gun enthusiast conservative nut job! Watch it though. It's really good IMO 29,500 posts!!! Stat padder
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 7, 2015 -> 03:49 PM) I still can't decide how I feel about it if the Cubs sign Shields. He would definitely make their team a lot deeper this year, but I think they can spend their money better next offseason for Price, Cueto or Zimmermann. Seriously, you shouldn't worry about them so much. It's kind of ridiculous. They affect nothing
  20. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 7, 2015 -> 07:39 AM) He's just trying to fit in. He picked the wrong time to try the threatening the kid and baby momma with a gun move.
  21. Cowboys running back Joseph Randle doesn't seem like he plans on being in the NFL very long. http://deadspin.com/mother-of-joseph-randl...n-he-1684321843
  22. It makes sense that the Cubs will get one after their renovations are done. The cell was rewarded when they put some work in

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 6, 2015 -> 05:45 PM) Didn't realize the first season of Criminal Minds way back in 2005-2006 had references by Mandy Pantinkin (Saul from Homeland, Dr. Jeffrey Geiger on Chicago Hope) to the White Sox winning the World Series and also one of the episodes had a key plot point revolve around a 1963 Nellie Fox card. Is Shameless getting any better? I've departed from 2014-15 tv world for one week (we just started Chinese New Year's holidays) to binge watch the first 35 episodes of Game of Thrones. When you binge watch that show, you become very frustrated with the slow pace, but I'm still addicted and just ordered the first four books (3500 pages) as well. For a long time, I didn't really have a favorite character, but it has slowly developed into Jamie Lannister and Peter Dinklage, the Lannister bros. Robb Stark never did much for me, as Jon Snow was always a more compelling presence. At various points during the 3rd and 4th season, I've simply wished for those dragons to grow up a lot faster and wipe out all the kings and see what would/will happen eventually with a more compelling ruler. The Stannis/Red Woman plotline drives me crazy, as well as anything to do with Eyrie or Lord Baelish (I know, I know, that's the sign of a good actor, if he makes you hate him) and Lena Headey/Cersei. How many books are there? 5? 6? 7? Is it worth going back to the start with the books or should I pick up where the show's leaving off before Season 5? And didn't Guardians of the Galaxy rip off Groot from Hodor? Groot was first introduced in 1960, so if anyone was a ripoff it was Hodor. But I don't think he was
  24. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 6, 2015 -> 02:40 PM) His efficiency is at all time high's. I think we need more of Taj and his attitude and toughness and not less, but that is me. This whole team has Pau and Rose's persona instead of Taj and Noah's persona, imo. This is what Laker fans hated about Pau for years (so it isn't new). Pau is extremely skilled offensively but he has a very "meh" attitude and is horrendous defensively. Butler and Rose also seem to have massive problems playing together. I still think the biggest issue on our team is Rose. We need a point guard to play with him or something cause he is just brutal and our offense is going to have some really brad stretches with the way he executes and passes right now. Its just ugly. Thankfully his effort and energy levels are increasing. We need more of Taj crashing boards and playing good defense, not Taj challenging double and triple teams. I don't want less Taj per se, I just want him to recognize when taking it down low isn't a good situation for him. He has gotten blocked a lot in the paint recently, and a lot of it is due to his mistakes.
