  1. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Aug 9, 2008 -> 03:39 PM) I'd be VERY curious on this race thing. I still stand that while Bill Clinton is not a racist, he used race to try and paint Obama as "the black guy." It is not beneath the Clintons to use ANY tactic they think might work. Ya, the Clintons should leave playing the race card to Obama supporters.
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 02:39 PM) I was crying laughing at this. I wish they showed the result, the smelling salt as priceless
  3. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 09:51 AM) They are all terrible. Interference galore. I've tried a few. Ultimately, its better to buy a new car stereo that has an AUX input. Then, you can plug your iPod directly into it. If you want to charge it too, you can buy chargers for iPods that have an AUX out, so you can have the best of both worlds. Thats what I did for my Stiletto2. I couldnt handle it anymore.
  4. We should quit trying to appease the rest of the world and tell them all to f*** off
  5. Speed limits on 290 are completely irrelevant. That doesnt mean people are all driving like lunatics, it means everyone pretty much stays with the flow of traffic. Speeding, however is a crime that should only be enforceable in person. I guess the absolutely ridiculous in Cook County arent enough, now Blowjobavich needs more money to fund his criminal activities from more places. Anybody that thinks this is a good time in our countries history for the government to be taking more money from the people so they can decide how to spend it (Blowjobavich taking charter jets to Springfield for 7k a pop instead of staying in the governors mansion or flying commercial) is a communist. This is big brother and its ridiculous. Anyone who is for s*** like this is gonna keep thinking all this stuff is great until it starts effecting them. You may want the government to know where you are (Ipass) how fast you got there, what intersections you didnt stop at long enough, what web sites you go to, where you shop, etc but I dont. Where do we draw the lines? The government is so ridiculously corrupt and they can do anything they want even when it comes to our money and people dont seem to care. Do you not see police officers speeding constantly or going through red lights? Is that Ok? Are they gonna get tickets or suspended from their jobs? I want to be held to the same standards as these ass bags.
  6. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 07:34 PM) Crummy product because 2 players have left to play overseas? Gonna need more evidence than that. I do agree that the NFL is the #1 sport in the United States. Throw the games being fixed into the equation for the NBA then.
  7. QUOTE (Texsox @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 08:47 AM) I think we still have to hold them responsible, but are we holding them responsible for poor hiring and poorly instructing the campaign on what funds to accept and under what conditions, or are we holding them responsible for what they had direct knowledge of? Plus, I'm just fascinated regarding the money aspect of campaigns and the daunting task of putting together an organization in all 50 states. In response to your quote which appears to be gone, there isnt a single person in the world who doesnt break some victimless crime every once in a while. Crimes like that shouldnt be enforced by cameras. Whats next, cameras in peoples houses to see if they cut the tags off their mattresses? Cameras to prevent people from jaywalking? Liberals inability to govern themselves and thirst for the government to control every aspect of their life baffles me. If they want shootings on the south side to stop maybe they need better cops not more cops. I hope I dont have to explain why Blowjobavich claiming he needs more money is so criminal it should piss off every Illinoisan. The man is so corrupt and irresponsible financially and now people are going to defend something like this?
  8. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 04:59 PM) This story would've fit the old special forum completely. Sex, Lies, and Politics. It's unfortunate, I have never minded Edwards even though I'm conservative. Im the same way.
  9. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 05:26 PM) i bought Bears tickets for my brother, my dad, and me a couple years ago. so we go to the game and before half time there is a huge booze driven brawl 2 rows ahead of us (some lady even gets punched). second half another fight breaks out behind us and my 70 year old dad gets a beer dumped on his head, me and my brother were about to kill this guy but we knew pops would not appreciate us getting arrested. left the game. my dads been a Bears fan his whole life and it's total bulls*** that these morons are at games. edit: but I have been to many Bears games and this was the first time I've seen something like this. So I don't think that kind of behavior is the norm. Still, it really pissed me off. I was at a mall one time and a fight broke out, Im waiting for malls to be shut down.
  10. QUOTE (Texsox @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 06:42 PM) Blackhawk fans becoming civilized? Sad that the NFL has such a crummy product that only drunken brawlers will come to games or the only way to enjoy a NFL game is to get intoxicated. That crummy product is the number one sport in the country. If you want to talk about a crummy product look at the NBA. Players are going overseas to play now.
  11. QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 12:12 AM) I'll be honest, I'm fairly surprised the guy wasn't apprehended by the passengers. Maybe it's the Canada factor. What was it, 37 passengers? 5 of them against the one man and knife probably would have ended quickly and without additional harm. No way do I let that motherf*** go. Neither would I
  12. QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 05:00 PM) You guys wanna hear my crappy PS3 story? I went to buy one the other day used and the guy tried to ripping me off by selling me a 40GB unit when he said it was a 60 like I wouldn't know how to tell... That probably works on most people.
  13. Im really looking forward to Blowjobavichs cameras on the expressways to send tickets in the mail for speeding so the revenue can be used for more police on the south side.
  14. Why dont we just wait for Jurassic Carl to turn into oil?
  15. If they enforced these rules I wouldnt go to games anymore. As long as youre not hurting anyone or driving drunk they should let you be. I dont think the NFL will take it too far considering the amount of marketing for beer companies the league does.

  17. QUOTE (Texsox @ Aug 5, 2008 -> 05:27 AM) Ed, Jeffry, John, this guy. Stuff like this rarely happens in the south, I think it's a snow thing, it makes y'all crazy. Rapist preys on men in suburban Houston Posted 12/26/2006 10:40 PM ET E-mail | Save | Print | Subscribe to stories like this BAYTOWN, Texas (AP) — A rapist who has struck at least five times since April in and around Baytown has not only spread fear in this working-class community but also piqued the interest of those who study the criminal mind. The reason: He preys on other men. That makes him something of a rarity in the world of crime. "It's the least prevalent kind of serial rape, and largely underreported," said Jack Levin, a leading criminologist and director of the Brudnick Center on Violence at Northeastern University in Boston. Levin and other experts say male-on-male rape sometimes stems from sexual encounters gone bad. But that does not appear to be the case with the rapist in this oil-refining town of 70,000 people about 30 miles east of Houston. Instead, he methodically identifies and stalks young men and attacks them at gunpoint or knifepoint in or near their homes, according to police Capt. Roger Clifford. Sometimes he robs his victims, too, but rape appears to be the primary motivation, police said. "This is certainly of interest, an interesting case," Levin said. The U.S. Justice Department says one in 33 men in the United States has been a victim of a rape or attempted rape, compared with one in six women. Experts say men are far less likely to report a rape to authorities, because they fear being perceived as weak or see the attack as an assault on their masculinity. In fact, investigators in Baytown fear there may be other victims of the rapist who are too ashamed to come forward. "There's a lot of emotional damage that goes with being raped, especially when the victims are men," said Lynn Parrish, a spokeswoman for the National Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network. But she added: "The best way to get this rapist off the street is for more people to come forward." Three of the attacks have occurred in the city, the other two on the outskirts of town. The most recent attack was Nov. 30. Clifford would not give details of the rapes but said at least one victim managed to thwart the attack. No one has been seriously hurt. "But it's only going to take one victim who resists enough or in the wrong way until the gun is going to go off, the knife is going to be used, and we're going to have a victim with serious injuries or who's dead," Clifford said. Criminologists have seen cases of serial killers who raped or otherwise had sex with their male victims — among them, John Wayne Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer. But psychologically, this is a different phenomenon. Levin said it is rare for a serial rapist to become a serial killer. "I think the reason has to do with the absence or presence of a conscience," he said. "A serial rapist is more likely to have a conscience. Otherwise they'd take the life and silence the victim." Victims have described the Baytown attacker as a clean-shaven black man, 18 to 21 years old, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall and about 200 pounds, with a shaved head. Police have released a sketch and are working with the FBI's behavioral sciences unit to develop a psychological profile. DNA testing also is underway. Fliers with the sketch have been circulated around schools and Baytown's Lee College, with an enrollment of about 6,000. Jay Ali, an 18-year-old who works at the local mall, said he has been spreading the word among friends. "There's a loose psycho running around raping men," he said. The local paper, The Baytown Sun, has run the sketch and details of the crimes at the top of its front page nearly every day since the most recent attack, and an electronic bulletin board on its website is filled with discussion about the rapes. "I have selfish reasons for wanting this guy caught," Marie W. wrote in a posting Dec. 12. "I have a son who fits this guy's target group. ... I want him off the streets and locked up like yesterday." Copyright 2006 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.

  20. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Aug 3, 2008 -> 09:44 AM) The Twins have outplayed the Sox over the last month and a half. We had a 6.5 game lead and it's down to only half a game. It doesn't matter who's in first place right now, just which team looks like will be in first place by the end of September. Given that they've outplayed the Sox recently, and given that I don't really see an end to the Sox pitching struggles, I don't think the Sox can hold them off. But maybe you know something about the pitching that I don't? Clearly nothing is over and the Sox could obviously still win the division. However, it is my opinion that they won't. Twins have more games on the road but the Sox have a harder SOS with 10 more games than the Twins against .500+ teams. I think the schedules even out as far as difficulty is concerned. All the dems need to thank the GOP for having their convention in MN. I think the Twins play something like 14 consecutive road games.
