QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 14, 2010 -> 05:42 PM) 6.5 for life! QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 14, 2010 -> 05:51 PM) that You guys are crazy. I like 6.5 as much as the next guy, but OOTP11 is a much better game.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 14, 2010 -> 04:04 PM) Anyone got an OOTP 11 they want to sell for cheap? It's worth a purchase for the improved development engine alone, fwiw.

Breaking Bad finale: awesome Next season should be excellent.

I also have enjoyed the new LCD Soundsystem. Haven't listened to their work extensively, but I've heard their latest album a couple of times and have liked it. Seems to have a Brian Eno feel to it, which is never a bad thing.

How does the World Cup even relate at all to any of the other options? It's between countries and only happens once every four years. It's like saying the Winter (or summer) Olympics are the hardest competition to win, which might be true, but it's not the same type of team sport as the others.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 07:24 AM) I disagree. If you spend more money than anyone else your chances of winning a title increase tremendously. The lack of a salary cap favors the top tier (in spending) franchises. Just look at the titles the Yankees and Red Sox have won in the last decade. Of course it was different prior to free agency. BTW, I voted the World Cup. Only 7 different nations have ever won it. There is no correlation between market size and playoff appearances. Really, there isn't any proof that adding a salary cap would do anything to improve the competitive balance of baseball.

This has nothing to do with the random tangent that this thread went off on, but still.. "There is no such thing as a dirty word. Nor is there a word so powerful, that it's going to send the listener to the lake of fire upon hearing it."

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 31, 2010 -> 11:34 PM) I was irked the Titans didn't pull one of the natioanl seeds, but after seeing the regional draw they got I'm ok with not being a top 8 seed. sup

QUOTE (3E8 @ May 25, 2010 -> 11:43 PM) I disagree with all of you. The episode was brilliant. It was the first time in awhile I re-watched the episode again the next day. The dynamic between Walt and Jesse is so great, that I've been dying for scenes with them cooking together again. Both are great actors. Dialogue ranged from humorous and light (Jesse had more funny lines in this ep than ever) to very dark (Walt deciding when the best time for him to die would've been.) The directing and editing was especially good. There was pretty heavy symbolism, this was not simply about Walt trying to catch a fly Of course not, but just because something has symbolism doesn't make it a good episode. It was fairly boring TV, and while I like seeing their dynamic, they really didn't progress the plot or characters at all (save for the very end of the episode). There wasn't anything learned in this episode that we didn't already know about Jesse or Walt, and if that's the case, what's the point of watching it? Breaking Bad is consistently edited and directly incredibly well and this episode was nothing different in that regard, but the episode as a whole was a letdown. I still have lots of faith in them coming back strong next week, as this season has been excellent thus far outside of this last episode.

QUOTE (He_Gawn @ May 21, 2010 -> 05:25 PM) One of the Rivals guys tweeted that Royce White has been contacted by Calipari. He certainly fits Calipari's mold. -
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 24, 2010 -> 01:39 AM) Episode of Breaking Bad tonight was just god awful. Worst episode they have put out by far. Only Walt and Jesse in the whole episode, no other characters, and the whole thing was about a fly in the meth lab........ Seemed like all the actors took a vacation at the same time, and Bryan Cranston and whoever plays Jesse were the only two wanted to work, so they wrote a bulls*** filler episode. Very disappointing. Yeah, I was incredibly disappointed. First time I can say that about a Breaking Bad episode, so I've got to believe they'll come back strong. But tonight's episode was awful... no real plot or character development at all.

Saw MacGruber on Friday night. The reviews weren't that great for it, but I thought it was pretty funny and definitely enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting much heading into it though, so perhaps that helped it out.

QUOTE (The Critic @ May 16, 2010 -> 06:02 PM) Tenacious D sucks. Pfft.. The D loved Dio, and the fact that Dio was in Pick of Destiny is a perfect example of their relationship. As Jim said, if Dio hated them and that song, he wouldn't have been in their movie. That simple. Moral of the story: Tenacious D is awesome and RIP Dio
-
Dio has rocked for a long, long time, Now it's time for him to pass the torch. He has songs of wildebeests and angels, He has soared on the wings of a demon. It's time to pass the torch, You're too old to rock, no more rockin' for you. We're takin' you to a home, But we will sing a song about you. And we will make sure that you're very well taken care of. You'll tell us secrets that you've learned. Raow! Your sauce will mix with ours, And we'll make a good goulash baby. Dio, time to go! You must give your cape and scepter to me. And a smaller one for KG. Go! Go! Dio! Dio! RIP Dio
