  1. They are Jerry’s wetdream with mid payroll and twice the revenue.
  2. He's over 800 MLB PAs now. It's not like he is new here
  3. Again, can you do this without the personal attacks?
  4. I hope you are right.
  5. His money is paying debt and going towards a potential new stadium in the near future. Until actually young talent arrives there is no foundation to add to.
  6. White Sox intersquad game?
  7. Some of the biggest money makers are the teams that don't spend
  8. 5 minutes ago he was broken. Now, get him up here. They had better at least play him daily when Tony makes the line ups.
  9. It's been that way for years, but their owners would rather make money.
  10. Someone check and see where Vinny Capra is hitting.
  11. We might need pitching more now than we did a year ago.
  12. There is also a big assumption in that this kid would have had the same dev arc in this org.
  13. It's average fastball velocity, though all pitch speeds are up.
  14. This is why people make fun of old people type of a post. Not to mention games are taking less time than they have for decades.
  15. The best thing for the Sox is a lot of extra teams thinking they have a chance when they don't.
  16. Are you more likely to get hurt if you jog a mile or run a sub 4 minute mile?
  17. Answer: Who cares, this season means nothing. Same with the season after this one, and almost certainly the season after that. Get guys who you have a chance at having in 2030.
  18. I did try to get tickets from them at Sox park, and didn't even qualify for the lottery.
  19. Then why does batting average drop the harder a pitcher throws?
  20. I hope this isn't serious.
  21. The issue is that the average dude out of the back of a ML Bullpen in 2025 throws harder than all of those dudes. In fact, almost every starter in baseball can bring a standard Nolan Ryan 95 mph fastball, or better. The league average is just under 95 today. 20 years ago it was about 90. If we get back to the 1930s when guys were going 300 innings, it was expected to be in the low 80's. A sorry Nick Nastrini dropped into the Babe Ruth era would be the GOAT. It's about effort, not length in 2025. There is a reason no one ever tried to get Usian Bolt to run 9.7 pace for 26 miles, and that is it is impossible. It's the same with starters. If you are going to throw harder, your outings will be shorter.
  22. He looked terrible too. Just nothing left in him.
  23. Send him before he turns into a pumpkin.
  24. Miguel Vargas for starters...
  25. So far they just have the open roster spot, I think.
