  1. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Feb 25, 2010 -> 04:03 PM) I am very suprised that Mitchell was ranked this high considering he was injured last year. I LOVE his OBP though. 23 walks in 34 games is amazing for a speed guy. If Mitchell can walk 100 times in a 162 game season, then he could be a guy who will swipe 50+ bags because that is a LOT of times being on first base. It will be interesting to see how he works his walks. Is he a guy that just takes a lot of pitches, ala Nick Swisher, who also takes a lot of strikes, or is he a guy with a real eye for the zone.
  2. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Feb 25, 2010 -> 08:47 PM) since the Sox offense is still missing a big bat in the middle, i am interested in seeing which big name is available next offseason and dream of KW netting him from the yanks or the Bosox. but then again, if the young guys hudson, flowers, becks, alexei, rios and quentin perform above expection, we might still be cheering the the sox come october. Who cares. Bad baseball is better than anything else.
  3. I am looking forward to the first Spring Training game first...
  4. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Feb 25, 2010 -> 02:47 PM) If the rotation pitches that well we'll be World Series favorites, not division runner ups. The only one that is above their career norms by any stretch is Gavin, at least in terms of ERA. For the rest of them it would be around an average season, and no where near any of their best seasons.

    QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Feb 25, 2010 -> 03:44 PM) Huh, well its probably like 8/10 people I ask will say they havent seen it. Probably half of those havent even heard of the movie. Sounds like you need new friends!
  6. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Feb 25, 2010 -> 12:18 PM) From Cowley: To be fair when you use a 26 inch, 18 ounce bat, it is pretty easy to break.

    QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Feb 25, 2010 -> 02:09 PM) Yup. A forgotten movie in my generation, its really sad. Forgotten? No way. It was voted the best comedy of all time on Soxtalk recently.

    I play NTN all of the time. I love it.
  9. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Feb 25, 2010 -> 10:31 AM) Games missed? HBP
  10. This whole health care summit is garbage. They are sitting in front of the cameras to try to get their talking points out and to get their gotcha moments for their partisans to spout off about. This is a complete waste of time and money.
  11. QUOTE (daa84 @ Feb 25, 2010 -> 08:51 AM) If danks wins 21, Peavy pitches enough innings to log 195 Ks, Quentin drops 37 bombs, Konerko gets 199 Hits, this team will run away with the division Peavy had six straight years of throwing enough innings to qualify for the ERA crown, and in three of those years he exceeded 200k's Pretty much the guy gets a K per inning pitched.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 25, 2010 -> 09:30 AM) Ugh, can they just stop talking about this? We all know the drill, he may retire early or play a year in STL, blah blah blah. He still has two more years on this contract here, and hes not even sure what he will actually decide then. Lets stick to present-day baseball please. Talk to the reporters who keep asking the same question.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 25, 2010 -> 08:03 AM) Because our manager doesn't understand that when a guy gives up an .868 OPS to RH hitters and a .549 OPS to RH hitters, he shouldn't have 37 PA against RH hitters and 43 PA against LH hitters. I am guessing the second is supposed to be LH?
  14. Oh yeah. Come on baseball season!
  15. Well it is all set up... now everyone just has to take care of business.
  16. 4-1 after one. It ought to be interesting here as the last time Pitt and Wash played, The Pens got out big early, and Alex Ovy led them back. I wonder if he can pull the same thing off here? Canada is really showing why they are the best team out here.
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 06:42 PM) lol only going off of rumors heard over the web. If you search "Steve Harnden" on Google, it takes you to Myspace And one that looks like a 13 year old girl created it.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 05:39 PM) ESPn Pinella is an idiot. You only need 4 characters for "f***".
  19. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 04:59 PM) Sex in the Olympic village? My question is: Do the biathlon athletes go both ways? he shoots, he SCORES!
  20. To the metal round! Nice game defensively. Not much luck on offense. The US is still having problems with spacing and positions.
  21. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 03:44 PM) 15% average too. Obviously those with taxable incomes of $200k or more, are in the 25-33% range too. The big problem is your numbers are WAY off. The average income PER FAMILY down there is 27k. They have a near 50% poverty rate. That is from their tourist page http://welcome.topuertorico.org/economy.shtml
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 03:48 PM) Still 1-0 USA, but it should be 2-0. Hell it should be about 5-0.
  23. This is a dangerous spot... One goal can win it.
