This is exactly where stats lie. Tony told them not to hustle, and they didn't. Their sprint times dropped, and their ranges dropped. It was right in front of us. I don't see Pedro doing the same.

There is nothing wrong with loading up the back of the roster with guys like this as insurance policies. It wasn't too long ago the Sox started a game with their 7th, 8th, and 9th OFs on the depth chart. We do still need 2 starting OFs. That has not changed.

I honestly think if we had reached out long before this off season, they could have extended him shorter and cheaper. I have no proof, and maybe the TLR stuff was the cause of his leaving, but it really seemed like there was a conversation a long time ago about him leaving. With Abreu I think if they had made a real effort to keep him, he would have stayed, and it wouldn't have needed to be 3/60 to do it.

It was bad and hard to read all at the same time. We could see on TV how segregated the team was. It wasn't even just Tim, it looked like 1960s Birmingham in the dugout all of the time. The video could meant something about TIm, or it could have meant something about the team. Thanks to our wonderful local media and their incredible research and reporting, we get to speculate, just like we do with all of the TA is a bad person stuff.
