At the end of the day if you miss the playoffs you have a zero percent chance of winning. If you make the playoffs that chance goes up by infinity, no matter how small it is. YOu get in, get your match up, and go from there. There is no more random of a sport than baseball.

But you really don't have to. We have three guys who are still showing signs of injury and fatigue in Kopech and Lynn with their knee problems, and Giolito post covid. It wouldn't occasionally skip those guys (and really Cueto and Cease couldn't hurt from a few extra days off here and there). A six man rotation, or a five man rotation with a floating sixth man to give one person a day off per each rotation round would give a break to the starters without needing to pen someone.

I think it is weird that people are so excited about literal mediocrity they feel they need to make personal attacks on people over it. If the OP would "stick to baseball" and not make inappropriate attacks at other posters personally, both through the site and DM's, they probably wouldn't get the same back in kind.
