  1. The idea that believing everything you are told somehow makes you better is laughable, at best. And if you read anything at all I wrote, different isn't better. We haven't seen better yet. And finally, the man primarily responsible for destroying the last rebuild is still in charge, and attitude seems like the someone he has had since 1980.
  2. Which is quite literally Example #1 of why I believe things AREN'T different. The same guy is at the top, ready to shove his nose in and blow something up because he doesn't believe in whatever it is. The "Royals" thing has become sort of a meme, but so has the whole "different" thing. Getting kicked in the nuts instead of the knee is definitely different, but that doesn't make it better, and definitely not good. I want to see better, not different. We still have a loooooong way to go for that.
  3. And neither does the "everything is different now!" crowd get to magic wand away the last few years mean that things are actually better, until some actual results show it.
  4. The same guy calling Soxtalk names because people have an opinion different than his, is also name calling people for not being open minded. Parody, indeed.
  5. That's wild. The first two rounds are free in Indiana and anyone can also broadcast just by asking. Heck we are calling our Regional Championship tonight. The exclusivity stuff kicks in next week with Semi-State (final four for each class) and then with State.
  6. Them not paying money to the state isn't that big of an expense. A decent portion of modern stadiums are owned by the owners, so no reason to lease. The rest are primarily public owned, and the leases don't seem to be THAT big. Single mid digit millions seems to be an normal number, though I see the LA football stadium is getting a whopping dollar a year from each tenant, so Jerry's deal isn't THAT great anymore.
  7. This. I either want a legitimate starting OF, or a really good prospect package. Starting catchers at minimum wage are not cheap, and neither should Quero be.
  8. Last year it was quite literally one. The only big off books source they have is parking, which isn't great when record low crowds are the case.
  9. Mostly because when we do he'd be 42 and having been released after a failed MiLB deal.
  10. The Prediction Markets are open for what team he adopts to obsess over next. The LA Dodgers are at 75 cents currently.
  11. Yeah, we need to first get past the idea that the Sox would be the leading offer to any of these guys, then we could talk about their chances vs other teams in that scenario. When you suck AND you won't spend? Well that is how you end up with a free agent list that looks like an old folks home for utility players.
  12. See this is where you are mistaken. You would NOT have autonomy to operate however you want. We have complete evidence that Jerry interfere's with day to day operations with his teams.
  13. They are all over the 35+ utility player market and the MiLB free agent pitchers.
  14. You mean like he literally JUST DID to get operations capital into the franchise?
  15. The Operations Debt would like a word with you.
  16. Shocker. They played the fans again.
  17. The only dude of substance will probably be Buxton, unless he too gives up and allows a trade.
  18. Nah, my distain for trolling is normal.
  19. The same one who keep trying to talk Sox fans out of being Sox fans. Sure buddy.
  20. They are actively talking about trading anyone and everyone with a salary.
  21. Honestly? I think it puts us into the 75-85 game range. There still is not nearly enough pitching on the front line, and end of the bullpen.
  22. Sizemore's experience overseeing the worst team in baseball might come in handy in Minneapolis this year.
  23. You took your Cubs hat off before you entered?
