  1. Yeah, I mean probabilities do exist for a reason, but nothing is absolute. It's a futile exercise in counting your chickens before they hatch.
  2. It's almost like when I said there was a 100% chance that some of these guys would fail, I was right. Anyway, just like this season, guys are going to break out, while others flop. I know I would have laughed at the idea that McDougal might have had the best season for a SP at a higher level going into the season. You can make educated guesses, but baseball is baseball for a reason.
  3. Especially bad when the Vikings return game kicked our asses all night. Their big returns shortened fields, and allowed their offense great starting field position, especially in the 2nd half.
  4. I do wonder why the assumption is we shouldn't mess with things comes from. We just turned in the worst Sox single attendance season in decades. Looking at adding more walk up fans makes tons of sense.
  5. Missed FG Blocked punt 17 yd per punt return. 5 kick returns with the shortest being 25 yards
  6. Bears special teams cost them this game.
  7. We have got to draft, sign, and develop our OWN TALENT. Giving up Garrett Crochet to get Braden Montgomery isn't the same as drafting and developing Braden Montgomery. If you want to build a sustainable model, you HAVE to be able to develop your own talent. If we fall into the same model of developing someone else's draft picks only to trade them for the next talent, we will also repeat the cycle of busts and failure.
  8. Hell, judging by how fair weather the Sox fan base is, making it easier to get to games by being in a transit friendly neighborhood, especially if a ballpark village type of situation happens, may actually be the best thing to ever happen to growing the fanbase, because as of now, Sox fans only show up to the current location after years of sustained winning.
  9. I said this during the last rebuild, and still stand by it. We can try to sell the guys who we traded for all we like, but if the farm system Chris Getz hired someone new to be in charge isn't hugely more successful than the farm system Chris Getz himself was in charge of, this is all just masterbation theater. It's all about player development. Hell at this phase of the last rebuild, Rick Hahn was getting GM of the year mentions.
  10. It just went from 4 goons, to "the guy in the eagles jersey". The two guys two rows in front never reached down. The guy who got the ball picked it up on the side of the seat. Even the guy in the Eagles jersey seems to be in the row in front of her, and reaching straight down. If you actually look at it, she is reaching down a row. If this is even accurate, because based on the video that isn't at all clear, her problem was with the guy in the Eagles jersey, because the guy who got the ball reached down by side of the seat, and not "in between her legs". She sure didn't chase him down, so that sure doesn't seem to be the problem here.
  11. If she, was a he, and ran up on, and then went and put hands on another dude while holding his kid, he probably gets punched.
  12. This is what I would like to see, but who knows.
  13. To this point, Taylor hasn't proven himself in either aspect.
  14. The shift in this country towards anti everything decent has been unreal to watch.
  15. No it is way better to run up on, then put your hands on a stranger with his kid and demand something from him.
  16. That people can be generous, just because. Can't have that in 2025.
  17. But the Sox odds don't change within those slots.
  18. Do Cub fans live south and/or west in/of Chicago? They aren't all coming from the north. Hell I know tons here in Indiana who take multiple trains, including through the scary southside, to get to Wrigley.
  19. If she had gotten to the ball first, literally no one would have said a word. No one also would have said a word if the dude ran over, got the ball and kept it for himself. This woman made herself the story when she ran up on, and put hands on, a complete stranger with his kid in a vulnerable position. If it had been another man who ran up on this dude and pulled the same stunt, he would have been just as rightly ridiculed for being entitled garbage.
  20. The #30, #29, and #28 teams all have the same odds at picking #1. The odds don't change for the Sox unless they hit #27. The Sox would need to fall two slots which is currently 8.5 games, in the last 18 games.
  21. The Sox odds are the same in 30th, 29th, or 28th.
