QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 6, 2014 -> 06:33 AM) Won $20 on FanDuel. Yippee I SHOULD be right there with ya. Currently in 819th with the top 2100 getting $$. I'm sure there's a lot of Wilson, Lynch, Harvin, Seattle D, Cousins, Jackson, Garcons out there though. I've had no luck so far in fanduel. First time I played I had Woodhead, who got hurt, last week I had Crabtree, who got hurt for a quarter and a half, now this week I played Jennings, who got hurt. Dude in 1st place played Brandon Oliver....That kinda boggles my mind. Oliver wasn't the #1 back, was pretty much 4th on the depth chart before the season began and he was going against the top ranked run defense in the Jets.... .1% owned the guy. That's pretty crazy to me. -
Did you join that page then search "Bulls"? I just did and there are now 2 guys selling tickets. I'm too lazy to take a screen shot of all the pics (between the 2 guys selling em there are 5 different pics)

Kudos to Fuller for shutting him down, but damn I thought Benjamin was gonna have a huge day against the Bears. Him suckin and Rashad Jennings getting hurt killed me in fanduel this week -
Just saw a post on facebook of a guy who has season tickets and is selling em off just 10 min ago. I've never been to a Bulls game but he has the prices listed in a picture and they look pretty reasonable. I can't post the pic here, so you'd have to join this facebook group.... https://www.facebook.com/groups/401015993330956/?fref=nf There's a search tool where you can type in Bulls and I'm sure the post will pop up. If for whatever reason you don't have a facebook, he has his number listed and I can also relay the prices of games you're interested in.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 3, 2014 -> 12:34 PM) I wonder if Hahn would look / consider someone like Callaspo as a potential platoon guy who can play 3B against LHP and also play elsewhere in the infield. I presume not, given the glut of infielders we have, but in general, he could be a nice value signing. You know who "raked" against LHP this year? Carlos Sanchez. I know Semien has looked awful at 3B, but that can of course improve, I think Semien at 3B and Sanchez at 2B vs LHP could be a good plan of attack.

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Oct 3, 2014 -> 12:10 PM) How about a right hander that kills lefties? If the splits are 10 points or less regardless of the pitcher they face, bring 'em on! Right handers are the ones that typically kill lefties. I think you may mean a right hander that kills righties. -

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 2, 2014 -> 02:15 PM) I'm all for an upgrade to Jordan Mills but I hope it isn't Long. Kyle Long is great at OG and he has short arms for an OT. He's in the perfect spot. One thing worth noting is Aaron Kromer, and his zone blocking scheme, puts more emphasis on guard play and creating a pocket for the QB to step into. When in Nola they had some high priced OGs in Jahari Evans, Ben Grubbs, and another guy who's name isn't popping up. With that said I think Long stays inside. -

QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 2, 2014 -> 11:30 AM) I think that you'd almost want Ola or De La Puente over Garza. Slausson will be a huge addition, though. Also, they keep hemming and hawing about Chris Williams. I hope that they let him return kicks this week. Apparently Bushrod injured his knee so Slaus/Garza coming back will be much needed. Ola probably moves to LT with Slaus moving back in at guard. Ola has been solid at guard so hopefully he holds up if need be at LT. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 2, 2014 -> 01:20 PM) Baseball America @BaseballAmerica 56m56 minutes ago Yasmany Tomas Declared Free Agent - Yasmany Tomas is free to sign with a major league team, as Major League Baseba... http://ow.ly/2OwvVx I'd be real interested if they can find a LH DH. Eaton Semien/Ramirez Abreu LH DH Garcia/Tomas Gilaspie Garcia/Tomas Ramirez/Semien/Johnson/Sanchez Flowers Looks pretty sexy.

Ya, the cover 2, or whatever they're running is just really soft. Opposing teams are consistently finding the soft spot in the zone and exploiting it for big gains. They've gotta start playing their safeties closer to home and forcing teams to beat them over the top. -

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 1, 2014 -> 11:38 PM) Hahn has been successful with one of four free agents. He's going to have to go 4/5 to be successful in 2015....see 2013 Red Sox offseason. The difference here would be he's probably not going after "Rebuilding type players". Paulino, Downs, and Bellisario are probably not the type of players they go after if they plan on competing. -

QUOTE (GreenSox @ Oct 1, 2014 -> 10:23 PM) I don't see how we're close. On a macro level, the team lacks power and is still terrible defensively. On a micro level, the Sox need 1 #2 starter 2 top end bullpen pitchers. 3B LF DH We could fill all of that and still be lousy defensively and lack power. That isn't close Way I see it, with an average bullpen we're probably looking at a .500 ballclub this year give or take a game. Sox bullpen lost 32 games, worst in the league. The team in 16th, what I'm calling average, lost 23. That 9 loss differential is the difference between 73 wins and 1 game above .500. I for 1 am a big Avi Garcia fan, and think having him for more than 46 games is already gonna be more beneficial to the offense. If he can tap into that potential we're talking about another 2-3 wins. So right there, IMO with a whole year of Avi and an improved bullpen, this team, before adding to the rotation and lineup is capable of winning ~ 84-85 games. Of course there will indeed be additions to the lineup, and at the very least a fella by the name of Carlos Rodon will more than likely see a lot of time in the rotation. Assuming they hit on most/all their additions, it's very possible this team can compete. -

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 1, 2014 -> 08:54 PM) I just don't think we will see another $75-100 million salary added. Depends on the years. I am of the belief that the payroll will be over 100M within the next 2 years, perhaps even next year. Right now we are looking at a payroll in the 50-60 range post arb, so there's certainly a lot of room to add to get that payroll up around 100M. It may not happen this year because they won't spend just to spend, but for the right player I think they're gonna be willing to spend. -

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 1, 2014 -> 08:33 PM) Sandoval too expensive and risky. I think we'll look at Alvarez (dh to start but could be moved back to third if they can fix his throwing issues)...headley would be okay but that makes viciedo or Gillaspie the dh...or Conor and semien. Outfield will be Rasmus or Dominic brown. Would prefer Rasmus but perhaps will be too expensive...simply because of his improving the defense in the outfield at a corner spot. Then someone like volquez with upside but risk mitigated by cooper...two relievers maybe Soria and any lefty reliever not named miller. I really don't think there will be such a thing as "too expensive" this offseason. Payroll is so miniscule that I can certainly see at least 1 "high priced" player brought in. Whether that be Sandoval, VMart, perhaps a SP, a few "top flight" RP, or taking on a salary in a trade, the money is there IMO. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 1, 2014 -> 07:23 PM) Sounds like nobody is high on gillaspie after last two months Hopefully maybe another team is. I'm game for trading him, but not to put Semien there. Headley or Sandoval though? Yes please. Headley, even if he doesn't revert back to his old self, still offers a GG at 3B. -
To come to eminors defense he did say Beck, Viciedo, and a couple fliers for Bruce, not just Beck. I think the deal he actually proposed, depending on your definition of "Fliers" is, is actually pretty reasonable. Perhaps something like Beck. Viciedo, Saladino, and Andrew Mitchell. Or lesser versions of Saladino/Mitchell

This game makes me wanna watch Micah Johnson.

QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Sep 30, 2014 -> 10:06 PM) will he be higher or lower priced than tanaka? Either way, the Sox are probably going to be outbid by the Yankees or Red Sox or even Dodgers. Kenta? Much lower. Otani when he comes over? Probably higher.
-
IF Otani comes to the US, it's a no brainer to go balls deep into trying to get him on the south side. I'm not sure it has been confirmed that he'd come over just yet though. Dude sounds legit.

QUOTE (BaconOnAStick @ Sep 30, 2014 -> 08:56 PM) Do not like taking the ball out of Shield's hands here. Ya don't say?

A Gillaspie/Eaton/Avi OF sounds awful defensively. If they bring in Headley (or Sandoval) then Conor is your DH or is traded.
