JOE.CREDE. = Twinkie
When he went with Boras he told ME he didnt want to be here. Adios-thanks for what you did here-and apparently couldnt wait to leave. I am not concerned about them getting an oft injured 250 hitter that will just slow down their line up

Official 2008-2009 NFL Offseason Thread
I believe that Bly was coached by Lovie in St Louis-which means he could get a look here on a veteran defense

Ex-Jenks teammate rips him in SI
This is will be recalled as the off-season of old news due likely to little "new" news to come out

Cubs Billboard
Its probably a subtle reference to all those that lose money betting on them every post season

KW ranked in "second tier" of five (MLB GM's)
I think its a fair assessment-he constantly fails to acquire targeted players and while he has excellent secondary plans, you cant look past this.

Michelle vs Palin
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 30, 2009 -> 11:44 AM) Should I be the one to point out that Michelle Obama wasn't running for office? Wouldnt have mattered because there would have been endless excuses and covering up the "finally proud" statement or anything else said that was questionable if she was running.

Juan Uribe signs with SF
An overweight guy with no mechanics at the plate-just hacking away. Yes I will miss that and the unpredictability he brought. It was fun to watch

White Sox in good financial shape
QUOTE (Sec101Row1 @ Jan 30, 2009 -> 07:38 AM) I beleive KW contract is up at the end of this season, wonder if there is any money left for that, or will he walk. His resume will look really good if we win the division again this year. He's going nowhere-if anything will get promoted

KW's "we're all set" press declarations
What bothers me about being content is that once again he has not filled the lead off or CF position we have needed for 2 years. He talks like he believes in Owens, and that we should, but has ANYONE heard anybody ask for Owens as part of a trade? I havent which says he's considered a mediocre prospect that others dont think can play, so why should we?

Ben Sheets Speculation
They have plenty of $- Over 90% Season ticket renewal, Ticket prices raised, Baseball TV $ hasnt gone away, on & on. Dont listen to that stuff we hear every year about their poor finances. I really wish they'd shut up, especially since they have a high payroll every year anyway.

You've had your last Best's Kosher Hot Dog at a Sox game
QUOTE (Wanne @ Jan 23, 2009 -> 02:39 PM) This is the part I don't get about this: What the hell does that mean?!? If it's profitable...why close it? If it has value...why not at least try and sell it off? Tax write-off for Sara Lee? Sounds like the Cubs sale

You've had your last Best's Kosher Hot Dog at a Sox game

Sox Fest Questions
Yeah but it used to be so much better-at least after standing in line 3 hours, the players would lean over and take a picture with you-it was at least a little fan friendly Just not worth it now.

Mac gone from Mac, Jurko and Harry
QUOTE (watchtower41 @ Jan 19, 2009 -> 03:39 PM) Anyone listen to the show so far today? Stuck at work and can't listen yet until the commute home, but have the fellas touched on anything? I konw Bruce Levine and Carmen gave out their collective thank you's and respect during the opening segment of Baseball Weekly. They did a nice bit on Mac to start the 5:00 hour-it was a money thing by ESPN-did Danny Mac's top 5 happiest moments, one of which was being on the field at Fenway Park after the El Duque game. Already- too much Bulls today in the brief time I listened-

Mac gone from Mac, Jurko and Harry
QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Jan 17, 2009 -> 02:33 PM) Do any of you guys like Boers and Bernstein? They've always seemed like idiots to me and pretty much just laugh at their own inside jokes most of the air time. They are pompous jerks that no one should call or listen to-unless you like being told they are smarter than you

Gavin Floyd for Brian Roberts discussed
With the value that our regime puts on pitching, I'm sure they wouldnt part with one of his prize acquisitions that worked out. No idea where this came from but its too Illogical
