Romy successful due to new light-hearted approach
He's probably the typical White Sox middle infield/back up prospect going back to Chris Snopek. But he has to be better than Alberto. Has some power, and can play a decent 2B.

Romy successful due to new light-hearted approach
Andrus is almost ready so I figured Romy was headed to Charlotte. Not now. Elvis or Hanser are soon to be DFA'd.

JR buys his own network
How can he afford it? I thought he was close to broke?

Sox truly mired in mediocrity
Sox have acquired JRs favorite, Cash Considerations for Jake Marisnik.

Fire Rick Hahn
Do they have any international bonus pool money left? JR can sell players for that again.

That was one of my biggest questions when analytics really started taking over. Eminor was on them early and there was another poster that used to tag team with him on it. They knew their stuff, no question, but I never understood the logic how K's meant nothing to a hitter, just another out was the reasoning, when putting the ball in play could lead to hits and errors and runs, And the just another out meant the world to a pitcher. That part never made any sense to me, just like protection in a line up. The problem with protection is it is almost impossible to measure, yet talk to any pitcher or coach or manager, some players are pitched differently depending who is on deck. In fact, Ed Hermann once led the AL in intentional walks. He hit 8th, in front of the pitcher. According to sabermatricians, protection doesn't matter.

They have hitters that don't see a pitch they don't want to swing at. They have pitchers who walk and hit too many people and mess around so much their pitch count gets ridiculous, and they don't play good defense. Other than that, they are pretty good. I have no idea why this FO who have seen the same things over and over again, don't want to at least think maybe this isnt a way to build a team that wins all the time.

I don't know if anyone saw the pregame show., but Ozzie talked to Shingos old interpreter who knows Ohtani really well. Ohtani would love yo play for the Cubs, but Chicago is too cold for him.

Bad defense and tons of walks is a bad mix.

You would think that an organization that doesn't value defense at all, would at least have a better than average offense.

Great defense. Year after year.

2023 Memorial Day - White Sox State of the Union
If losing 8 out of 10 instead of 6 out of 10 would force change, I would be all for it. You must cheer for wins. It’s all you have. They could set records for losing. The same dopes would be still making decisions.

Liam Hendriks' return appears imminent
I’m guessing Scholtens, and then Lambert when Clevinger returns Friday. That is if there is no one hurt.

Sox truly mired in mediocrity
I suspect Rick will speak to the media today, focus mostly on Liam’s return, which is fine, then take some questions regarding the struggles. He will say it has obviously hasn’t gone as thought or hoped, but there has been some improvement lately, and with Liam and Crochet and Eloy back, and Clevinger in line to make his next start, he still believes in this team, blah, blah, blah. No one will challenge him. THe one thing I don’t get is those that point to the Sox schedule being difficult in April and some of May. So what? If you expect them to be a playoff team shouldn’t playing them be difficult? If you expect them to do damage in the playoffs, shouldn’t they be able to beat good teams?

I wonder if JR has a shrine in his home dedicated to the late governor Thompson. Without that stadium deal, JR goes to Tampa, where, the way his orginization is run, probably usually finishes last in the ALE. He probably would have spent the last 30 years crying for a new stadium. And I think even he admitted if the Sox moved he would have had to sell the Bulls due to public backlash, which probably would have cost him billions.

Mired in mediocrity would be an upgrade right now.

This would have been acceptable from 2017-2019.

What is this broadcast team selling Battled valiantly? They, in the middle if their supposed multiple championships window lst 3 of 4 to a team not even trying to win.
