  1. Surprised they didn't announce he is on a ventilator.
  2. He said he was going to work out Tuesday. I wasn't there so I have no idea if he was at the park or not. But bad colds and flus don't always go away exactly when you think.
  3. All this stuff? It is all speculation from rabbit based on video. And then notCishek jumped on the bandwagon. If he had a flu or a bad cold that he was fighting for a couple of days, even if he was feeling better, I wouldn't want him on the team plane heading to a postseason game. JR can gas up his private jet and fly him down there.
  4. So a whole day? Have you ever had the flu? If he had Covid the Sox wouldn't be allowed to tell you he was sick.
  5. Why is it assumed he has Covid? Hahn said it was a non Covid illness. The fact that Hahn said anything says to me the Sox expect him to play.
  6. This tweet is clearly the result of rabbits post. He knows nothing. Just remember he was like most of us and didn't know the option rule when the Sox sent Collins down, which means his source didn't either. Dead giveaway to his phonyness.
  7. Goodwin will be in the dugout if he is on the roster or not. Same with Keuchel.
  8. Maybe, but they are playoff bound. It's a 6th rounder but why trade a 6th rounder unless the playoffs and advancing in the playoffs is realistic?
  9. Can go west a block or 2 and find something. I have parked on the street with a pass for at least 500 games including all home playoff games this century.
  10. Go a couple hours early, go to Shinnicks or another bar and ask them for a parking pass, and park on the street. Save some cash and watch the end of the Bears game atthe bar. Drink cheaper beer. I probably just saved you $75.
  11. $45 parking for non season ticket holders. JR loves home playoff games.
  12. Yeah, although I really doubt they would give them the real early game on Monday after a night game. But 3 or 4 pm is a definite possibility. Who knows, it would be an elimination game no matter what, so it may be prime time.
  13. Made them play with it closed. The Astros wanted it open.
  14. When the Sox played Houston in the WS, up until then it was the least watched WS ever. Granted WS were trending that way and only 2 have been watched by more people since, Yankees/Phillies and Cubs/Guardians, but Houston is sort of like the Sox. No matter how good they are or how many interesting players they have, for some reason, most of the country doesn’t care.
  15. You'll find out right after tomorrow's game.
  16. More people nationwide would tune into a Red Sox game than a White Sox game. Even when they have been good, the White Sox, for some reason, have never been much of a draw. TV or in person on the road. I still think they might have a shot at prime time if Boston wins. The LaRussa angle probably has some national appeal.
  17. You would need all domes. It’s pretty cool for the last day, but it wouldn’t change managerial decisions for 98% of the season.
  18. Considering Simmons hasn't reported to training camp, I would think the team is doing the logical thing. He will eventually get the money, probably minus some fines.
  19. You had to figure when Wright departed with a 6-1 lead with 2 outs in the 9th, and a .186 right handed hitter up, his major league career is probably over.
  20. I have defended Phil in the past, but his take was wrong on so many levels, it comes across to me as he is campaigning for JR to give him a job. Comparing pre pandemic and middle of the pandemic attendance when there were restrictions in place. Acting like JR wasn't banking cash during the rebuild, which the White Sox even admitted. And finally blowing off the funds they will make with some postseason home games. Just the 2 inthe ALDS is going to get them 8 figures. I won't even blame him for forgetting how many seasonticket packages they have sold the last month which will guarantee them a huge spike next year even if they were to suck.
  21. Obviously Abreu getting hit is not intentional and Tony's bitching makes no sense, but if it makes one pitcher reluctant to throw in on him, it pays off. I would tell Abreu to wear an elbow pad for several hours every day until he gets used to it. It may save him some IL time down the road.
  22. Before Kimbrel, It's still a league average payroll. Kudos to JR fot being average.
  23. Harry Caray and Mike Ditka were always at their namesake restaurants. Neither had any money in it. Being there, supplying the name and mentioning the restaurant when on TV or the radio was their job for their cut. Restaurants run by people in the business who know what they are doing, usually fail. A restaurant with a ballplayer calling the shots has no chance.i really doubt Frank was making business decisions.
  24. Probably very little chance Frank had any of his own money in his restaurant or Big Hurt Beer. He supplies the name and gets a percentage. It's generally how most of those work.
  25. The regular Directv is actually really nice unless it rains.
