  1. Chris Getz sucks, but if I was him, I'm asking for the moon for Robert too. What is he supposed to do, ask for garbage? And if he can't trade him, and Robert gets hurt, so what, the team missed out on garbage. Either they get something good, or he plays and hopefully plays really well so someone will give up something for him. if not, let him go after next season.
  2. He was out of bounds though. It's weird. They have a sideline camera, but can't use it for replay because it's not in every stadium. Why not just get the call right? Or just take it out.
  3. The Yankees are getting $15 million to let the Rays play in their spring training facility this year.
  4. Bears reach property tax deal with Arlington Heights.
  5. All I’m saying is by 2026, framing will not matter anymore, as balls and strikes will not be called by humans. Of course that is probably around the time the Sox will master teaching it to their catchers.
  6. IDK, you do get to hobnob with Gus Varland.
  7. The biggest issue to me is almost everyone the bring up strikes out a ton and walks very little. I really thought Vaughn would be different. But that was wrong. Obviously, there has been a lack of talent, but there also seems to be a lack of development. And anyone they sign or trade for has the same issues as well.
  8. He was a good hitter for several years, but was he a smart hitter?
  9. When is the last time the Sox developed a player you would have no problem saying was a smart hitter? The weird thing is KW and RH at least used to be able to identify hitters, then for some reason, totally lost it. The early returns from Getz seem really poor.
  10. If the Sox don’t tender Sheets (I’ll believe it when I see it) someone will have to check on Schriffen. Losing Lopez and Sheets in a month, the guy will probably be curled up somewhere.
  11. Framing won't matter the next season the White Sox lose less than 100 games.
  12. I’m all for adding more catching. Hopefully Quero is at least half what we hope he is. I don’t think many people realize how bad Korey Lee was after his hot streak.
  13. Adam eEngel also had a huge Fall League. But it’s better to have a good one than bad one.
  14. We can hope. To me it all comes down to hitting gas. Hopefully, the issue was his health or correctable.. it would seem to me that issue would have reared its ugly head before 2024, so I have some hope. if you can’t hit gas, you’re screwed. He did have a good Fall League, but so did most.
  15. Getz assembling the 2024 offense puts him in the Run Prevention Hall of Fame.
  16. It does seem to be taking a long time filling out the staff. Makes me think, most are staying.
  17. Amazing how much money they are spending trying to figure out what would bring more fans to games. It seems they have given up on being successful being the driver. Looking for someone with other ideas.
  18. The pri ce tag is low. I just don't see the need of adding 32 year old bench pieces to this disaster.
  19. I’m calling the Sox and buying season tickets. This guy checks all the boxes. No power, doesn’t get on base, is over 30. Just what the team needs.
  20. I always get a kick out of people complaining about others complaining. The sire always sucks but you always read it. Makes no sense.
  21. The White Sox are in a worse situation now than they were when they traded Sale. Trading Sale was the right thing to do. Yes he had 2 great years right after he was traded. Say Crochet has 2 great years the next 2 years. How does that make the White Sox contenders? Sale was great again this year, but after those first 2 years in Boston, he spent the next five seasons either ineffective or unavailable while being paid more than any White Sox has ever been paid. The Sox need to trade Crochet while his stock is high. Maybe he is great the next couple of years, but with his history, chances are he will eventually be paid a lot of money to rehab.
  22. The way their schedule is the rest of the way, if they win, Flus stays. But they get beat or even go 4-4 and miss the playoffs, he's oot to go. He gets it to 9-8 with what they have left, I think he should come back. That isn't going to happen.
  23. I think it was $2.5 billion for the lakefront site. I think they will eventually wind up in Arlington Heights.
  24. I get this, but JR and the McCaskeys are at a low even for them. Getting public funding, at least anywhere near what they want, is going to be impossible.
