  6. I just read something interesting. If they play this season, Chase Daniel will be paid more than JameisWinston and Cam Newton combined.
  7. The proof will be in the pudding. If teams are on the brink of financial collapse, they will sell, or take on new partners, or file for bankruptcy.
  8. The Bulls missed out on 7 home games. Considering they print money, I have a hard time believing they took a loss.
  9. BTW, the new lighting seen last night was pretty spectacular.
  10. I don't have kids so I really have no idea what the deal is. This past spring, we have never had anything like this, so I could understand not being totally prepared for on line learning, but have they not been working on this the past couple of months? Improve it. Have a virtual classroom where teachers can call on students. Make it easy for them to have the teacher check their work. It doesn't seem too complicated. For those students without a computer, get them one. It doesn't take a $2000 model to run something like this.
  11. The 3 of them combine to make less money than probably 1 minimum guy over the course of a full season. I do agree there should be some worry for next year. Who knows what that will bring. I doubt anyone, even the most pessimistic would have thought we would be where we are at now three months ago. The CDC said it could be worse in the fall and winter. And it could be their time with the team was coming to an end anyway, I will agree there, but the fact is, except for the names we know at least fairly well, most of these employees get paid hardly anything. Thinking they are saving money letting them go, puts blowing $13 million on Manny Machado's friends into perspective.
  12. Take NY out, it's a bit of cherry picking, yes, but here would be the US Covid 19 chart since 3/5
  13. Do you think the Trump administration would have a different take on their insistence schools be open , if someone let them know that science was taught at these schools?
  14. Chuck Woolerys son caught the virus. Chuck has changed his mind about the hoax, and deleted his twitter account. That didn’t take very long.
  15. The GOP is moving it’s convention outdoors but kids and teachers and support staff are supposed to sit inside in school all day, every day.
  16. “When he says open, he means open in in full, kids being able to attend each and every day at their school,” McEnany told reporters at the press briefing. “The science should not stand in the way of this.” I think she was trying to say the science would indicate it is safe for kids, but it came out pretty bad.
  17. They play 1/3 of their schedule against Detroit and KC. It seems hard to believe they won't be .500. I think having young players is a big advantage this year, even though most of the media guys think the opposite. They don't need the crowd to be pumped.
  18. The more things change, the more they stay the same. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Mask_League_of_San_Francisco
  19. Canada, UK and US allege Russian cyber attacks on Covid 19 research centers. I guess if Putin denies it, it will be considered fake news.
  20. It's supposed to be really hot this weekend. Maybe this is when the virus will suddenly disappear.
  21. Yes, the same people who have a problem with giving people who need money, money, had no problem with the $2.3 trillion tax cut gift that benefitted the rich. It's really strange.
  22. Because of the federal response, which was slow, and then Trump thought it would be a good time to play Celebrity Apprentice-Governors edition, and pitted states against each other to increase prices and screw up the supply chain for PPE to our front lines, and have no federal response, the US is not in position like most other countries to open up, so yes, they probably should be printing more money now and handing it out to people who cannot work right now.
  23. This administration couldn't care less about kids' education with going back to school. After all, these are the people who have turned their backs at science, and have no use for US intelligence, so what good is going to school to them? . It's all about the parents going back to work.
  24. Cutting out the CDC. They must be fake news. I guess fudging numbers is the only play this administration has left. For all the politicians that claim they love our country, it’s time for action even if it means you will get a stupid nickname from someone tweeting on the toilet.
  25. These people are 3rd graders. And to think they feel justified because, "I'm not doing it behind your back". Has the country devolved this much? White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications and Director of Social Media posts cartoon and message on FB attacking the nation’s leading infectious disease expert for telling the truth about this deadly pandemic. https://facebook.com/1440616002820798/posts/2641476589401394/?d=n
