I am kind of surprised the Sox couldn't do a little better. -

QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Jul 25, 2017 -> 03:21 PM) Did he really? Or did he just make a double switch so he can get 2 innings out of Beck without him having to bat. Pitcher's spot due up 3rd next inning. Oops. Someone is on to the truth. -

QUOTE (Scoots @ Jul 25, 2017 -> 03:18 PM) Wow he really did it. This is one of many things that sets him apart from Ventura. Very glad he did that to Anderson. He needd to learn how to be a situational hitter, and just plate awareness and to be mindful of who is pitching. No. Robin did it too and got ripped for it. Remember when he benched Rios for jogging to first? It was called a bush league move on this very site. -

I wonder if any other White Sox pitcher ever had 11 k's through the first 4 innings. And had a WHIP of 2.50 to go along with it. -

QUOTE (Sox-35th @ Jul 25, 2017 -> 02:54 PM) And everybody gonna get thrown out now. This is the oddest I have felt about a start in a while. The one thing that is going to be spotty with pitchers in his situation is command. Be happy. 11 k's in 4 innings is pretty rare. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 25, 2017 -> 02:47 PM) And this year he's back to throwing it 10% of the time, so overall he's thrown it 9% of the time in 2015, 10% of the time in 2016, and 10% of the time in 2017. So he had a few game stretch where he tried something different and it worked, and then he stopped it and went back to what he did when he came up. Where am I missing something? With his arm injury, and the down time, he sort of lost the change up. He is working on it pretty hard during side sessions. He had it working vs. Oakland, and knows he needs it. -

This game is an L. You can turn it off now. Rodon isn't going deep. No way they use Swarzak, so gas cans only in the bullpen. -

QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 25, 2017 -> 01:58 PM) If we aren't contending by 2020, something has gone very wrong. And at the very least, Rodon would be a pretty big trade chip. So being irrelevant couldn't be further from reality. -

QUOTE (Yoda @ Jul 25, 2017 -> 01:52 PM) Are the injuries getting the best of Rodon? 2 years ago when he first pitched against the Cubs at Wrigley he was awesome. I was in attendance and he threw 8 shutout innings. No spring training, was hurt and rehabbing most of the year. It will take some time, but he can be really good. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 25, 2017 -> 01:53 PM) Yet another rally stymied by the no DH rule Maybe the Sox should play without one. -
QUOTE (Quin @ Jul 25, 2017 -> 11:29 AM) We have very different definitions of big It's the Royals. Although the one reliever is pretty good. And the prospect has amazing stats. The ex-Cub exchange, who cares? Maurer sucks too.

Make America Great Again. Official Trump merchandise is handled through a Canadian company that was founded by Germans. It must be so great to be Trump. His hypocrisy is so large, he doesn't get called out on it ever.

DJ Carassco former White Sox reliever, is now a Dodgers scout. He came to Wrigley today to see Gonzalez.

I would have pulled Swarzak. No career saves. A ninth inning freak out can hurt his value. 39 pitches Friday, 25 yesterday. -

Engel is kind of like Trayce Thompson. Blah minor league numbers, has some power, looks like a plus defender, looks at times to be much better than his minor league numbers. -

QUOTE (beautox @ Jul 24, 2017 -> 02:52 PM) makes no f***ing sense. Living in the liveliest of live ball eras; here is a bight f***ing idea lets do everything that is the converse of that... It's like the Bulls and their idea that a poor shooting team could be really good. Why you are making Yoan Moncada give up an AB is beyond me. -

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 24, 2017 -> 02:50 PM) Hawk and Stoney saying that Renteria is trying to get the players in the mindset to learn and lay down good hunts when the team is good. Ok then Rick When they are good, if Moncada is anywhere near where he is supposed to be, having him bunt would be the last thing on anyone's mind. -

QUOTE (beautox @ Jul 24, 2017 -> 02:48 PM) listening to the cubs broadcast they think Moncada is putting that bunt down on his own, I don't buy that for a second. Because they would be in disbelief a major league manager would have him bunt. -

QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jul 24, 2017 -> 02:09 PM) what a lucky catch. Hit the heel and popped right into the glove. LOL at Schwarber, he's a ball of meat out there. Jessica Mendoza said he just looks like an athlete last night. What is the deal with the fascination of Kyle Schwarber? -

Ricky is making the right move here. If he gets burned by the pitcher or Heyward, it isn't on him. -
QUOTE (steveno89 @ Jul 24, 2017 -> 12:50 PM) We had Robertson, Kahnle, Frazier, Quintana helping to provide some level of stability to the roster in the first half. Hard to peg where we end up exactly, but right around 60 wins is looking to be realistic. 2018 is going to be painful, but at least we are fully prepared for that going in. Our minor league talent should ideally be one step closer to the majors next season, with many ETA's in late 2018 or 2019. Yes. If the Sox made those trades the day before the season started, they most likely have the worst record in baseball right now.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 24, 2017 -> 01:42 PM) We are in a year that means nothing, why would he feel that right now? He is the great hope. The guy gets more attention than anyone on the team by far. He needs a few hits.
