QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 3, 2017 -> 11:22 PM) I'm a little surprised people are backing Maher. If Hannity had said this, people would DEMAND his firing. He said the N word on his show for gosh sakes. Also the Kathy Griffin thing. The Washington Post says to forget about it? Cmon. If somebody did this to Obama or Hillary, hold their fake severed heads? That person might have to move to Canada. For sure that person would not work again. Ted Nugent We need to ride in the battlefield and chop their heads off. If Obama is re-elected I will either be dead or be in jail in a year. He also called for Hillary's hanging. He was Trumps guest at the White House.

So you can pretty much leave White Sox games after the 6th inning. If they are leading, they are 19-0, if they are tied or losing, 5-30.

Yolmer saves a pair. Stupid pitching to him.

Ricky first base is open. JD is on fire.

I was reading an article on launch angle today. To me this is going to be the biggest game changer ever. It is in its infancy and making a gigantic difference. i think it will change baseball as much as 3 pointers changed basketball

Bosh declared to have a career ending injury and is waived by the Heat. For all those Bosh to Bulls rumors, I read finding a doctor to clear him would be a huge problem.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 3, 2017 -> 02:36 PM) It's a big deal. He just apologized and the network statement prior to that was forceful. The Black Lives Matter leader called for his firing. Maybe someday you will hold politicians to the same standards you hold comedians. Here's some things your boy Rush has had to say over the years. I bet you tune in on Monday without hesitation. And when you do and he calls for Mahers head, just remember who is talking. http://www.alternet.org/20-most-racist-thi...h-has-ever-said

QUOTE (raBBit @ Jun 2, 2017 -> 06:59 PM) Isn't that exactly what you complain about? You were the one complaining about Hillary. All I am saying is your party, even though you try to say it's not, is all about internet rumor as fact, yet not once have I read a post from you denouncing them for it. It is very telling you are more concerned with what Hillary Clinton, citizen, has to say, and getting her facts wrong, than all the bulls*** coming out of the WH.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 2, 2017 -> 02:42 PM) Anyone hear how Rodon's sim game went? He was in trouble in the second, but Coop made a simulated visit to the mound and calmed him down. I would imagine nothing out of the ordinary since they haven't mentioned him being shut down or in need of surgery. Yet.

QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Jun 2, 2017 -> 02:27 PM) Not Soxtalks, but as far as I know, he is the only prospect that has been reported to have met with Hahn. And that could have been for show.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 2, 2017 -> 12:57 PM) I actually laughed at the idea that this was the first President to target someone personally. Yeah I don't get it. I hate Trump, but don't agree with what she did, and if she did it because she felt his position should make him unable to respond, that's BS, especially considering his past history. And as much as I hate Trump, I feel he and his family have a right and probably a responsibility to respond. Although I do think Barron being traumatized was total BS. I think this press conference made her look worse. What was the purpose of the press conference, and why was she lawyer-ed up? The only thing I could think of was to make her stop when she was going to say something that got her into more trouble.
-
I don't understand her angle here regarding being bullied by Trump's family. What exactly would she expect? It wouldn't surprise me if she did this under the guise that any publicity is good publicity, especially for someone who considers them self D list. It looks like she found out that isn't exact true.

Climate change is fake news made up by scientists who could only dream of having their father call in a favor to get them in to Wharton, and allegedly graduate at the top of your class even though you never once made the Dean's list.

QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Jun 2, 2017 -> 06:47 AM) No doubt Lebron is "shook" after this play by Curry http://www.nba.com/video/2017/06/01/004160...-cle-gsw-play18 The Cavs are shook. What a time to be alive. The NBA is doing well, but eventually you would have to think when your entire season and 80% of your playoffs are basically meaningless preseason games, just for financial purposes, it will catch up to you. These days, teams even admit it, sitting their stars more than ever.

QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Jun 1, 2017 -> 03:12 PM) Jason's job isn't to "take the s***ty sportswriters to task" or to "call out the bulls*** umps try to pull." His job is to call the baseball game, pure and simple. And truth be told I can tell you the White Sox don't want him doing that either. Even JR, Hawk's closest friend and confidant, has laid down the law to him at times over his comments and conduct. The Sox with their new primary TV announcer do not want controversy. If something needs to be brought out to the audience they want him doing it in a reasonable and professional manner not one in which the announcer loses his temper or comes across as sullen and taciturn. I suspect they 'put up' (for want of a better word) with Hawk when he did things like this, especially the last few years, because of his reputation and the fact that he earned some leeway...but that doesn't apply in Jason's case...at least for the next 20 years anyway. Hawk's job is to sell the White Sox, and taking the umpires to task and sportswriters is a part of it. JR PUBLICLY sent a message to Hawk to cool it with the umpires, but considering he hasn't been fired or suspended and that cooling really never occurred, I think it would be safe to assume, privately he isn't so concerned. And sportswriters? JR hates them way more than Hawk. Hawk called out Marriotti. What did Reinsdorf have to say about the same man?

Trump's plan to destroy ISIS, you know he knows more than the Generals, he went to Wharton, seems to really be working as well as he envisioned.

QUOTE (SCCWS @ Jun 1, 2017 -> 02:38 PM) Doubt Boston wants Swarzak after they crushed him the other night and they won't want Sanchez. But they might want Jones if he comes back strong. But Frazier and Jones won't get Groome. Might get Brian Johnson and a high rated A prospect. Did you watch the game? They didn't exactly crush him. I don't know if they want him or not, but the dinks they hit off him wouldn't exactly scare them off.

QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Jun 1, 2017 -> 11:25 AM) I found it interesting that he blamed prescription meds vs. alcohol. Is it really any better? He's been on those drugs for nearly 10 years now. He should know better. And what drives me nuts about these morons is, call a f***ing uber. You're tiger woods. You could get anyone in the world to drive you home. But I guess that's part of the sad story here - despite being Tiger Woods, he doesn't have anyone. It also seems like he may not have been coming from a club or something. He may have just hopped in his car at home and went for a ride.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 1, 2017 -> 09:47 AM) Where's the outrage from women, especially Republicans, about this...? https://www.yahoo.com/beauty/alarming-expos...-131526565.html [A visitor to one of Trump’s homes, late into Melania’s pregnancy, recalls him remarking that he agreed to the baby on the condition that Melania would get her body back. “She promised him that everything would go back to the way it was,” says this guest; it struck this person as a “contract.” And he was simply rude to her. “There was no ‘How do you feel?’ No opening of doors, making sure she didn’t fall. Just ‘You wanted to have a baby.’” ([Trump spokesperson Stephanie Grisham] counters that Mr. Trump was “very warm and supportive throughout her pregnancy.”) He never even really wanted a fifth child, but it's pretty apparent reading the tea leaves there was going to be no marriage without one (from Melania's viewpoint.) But now that Barron can be used as a convenient prop....despite the argument they wanted to protect him by keeping him with his mother in NYC, it seems crazy that someone isn't controlling his t.v. time since it had to happen at night (supposedly) as school is in session still. So where was his mother or nanny to supervise him if they already knew the "truly horrifying" Griffin images were out there? Too logical for rabbit, although I am sure he would have a different view if the politician's head Griffin was holding had a (D) after his or her name.

QUOTE (raBBit @ May 31, 2017 -> 07:56 PM) Some has been comic takes a picture with a model of the President's head bloodied and severed and the take away is the President is lying about his kid seeing it and his kid shouldn't be allowed to watch channels that talk about his father. I accept your apology for that "logic." No you are ridiculous. Look at the photo. Barron just happened to be watching TV that 11 year olds watch and suddenly that popped up. . OK. And he thought it was his father? GMAB. All I said, and clearly you couldn't comprehend, is if Barron is going to be so sensitve, clearly parental controls should be used. I'm pretty sure this image wasn't on Cartoon Network. Everything Trump says and does is to benefit Trump. Lying has never been a problem. His story of it traumatizing Barron is BS. Besides, if things traumatize him, and Barron has full access, why does Donald act the way he does? The guy isn't even a father. He has stated the only responsibility he has as a father is to supply funds. The President lying is something quite common. It's pretty logical to think he would lie about this. Where are the posts with your outrage when Obama was in a noose?

I think he is getting closer. Hand was in a splint almost all winter, got hurt in spring training. Got hurt and sick earlier this season. I think he is coming around. He is going to strikeout but is walking more and is starting to hit with a little more authority recently. A few he has hit the last week or so probably go out of the park in a couple of weeks.
-
Swarzak might have had one of all time bad luck innings last night. One ball hit hard and that was on a really good pitch. The others were bleeders and an intentional walk. It's pretty amazing you can give up 4 runs like that. And for the bunt haters, it isnt going away. They cranked up a pitching machine to work on bunting with some more velocity.

Schwarbers career splits are awfully similar to Adam Dunn's as a White Sox

QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ May 31, 2017 -> 06:17 PM) ...to you. You stopped liking him whenever you did. Many of us did not, and continue to like him to this very day. It is the one thing I agree with you.

QUOTE (raBBit @ May 31, 2017 -> 04:37 PM) Your'e aging yourself here. Why would they let him watch TV unsupervised? That's like all we did growing up in a household where both parents worked let alone being a kid of the president. We live in the age of Internet. Young Barron probably has an iPhone. I got a phone at 14 and was one of the last kids to get one. He could find some awful stuff by searching a few words. Before you give the age put down, you might want to read the story. It said Barron was watching TV. I would think with all the anti Trump on TV and parental controls on TVs, and iPhones if someone putting his father in a bad light was going to be traumatic he wouldn't have access to those channels. Sorry if that is too logical.
