  1. His groin probably gets a bigger workout on off days.
  2. If aim looking at him, and he's falling apart again, my offer either gets a lot lower or totally rescinded.
  3. Normally I would think your logic on this one is obnoxious, but I'm totally with you now. That era of broken down players can't leave my mind soon enough.
  4. Those without the special channels can see these games on channel 26.
  5. Either he’s traded, which is probably good, or hurt, which is really bad.
  6. Huge start for Houser. If he pitches well, the return for him might at least be interesting. A bad start, and it’s probably a lottery ticket at best.
  7. BTW, the Cubs series is also going to be on channel 26 The U.
  8. Unless someone hires john Schriffen as the GM and partial owner, no one is going to want Benintendi.
  9. He was never going to bring a ton, but even if they get a teams top 20 prospect it’s a huge win for Getz.
  10. I'd trade Houser as soon as someone offered something interesting. He's one bad start from being next to worthless.
  11. Robert is definitely going to go. There is no way the Sox pick up his option so anything is better than nothing, and not paying him the rest of this season gets Getz brownie points with JR. I don't see anyone the Sox trade netting much, but maybe one or two of what the get back surprise us.
  12. What did the Sox get and your dreamy GM for Gavin ?
  13. It's commonplace. The Sox also went with a non player in Hahn, and he was awful too. They just like hiring guys who will suck up to JR. The one that didn't was Himes. He accomplished a lot very quickly.
  14. It's not just the past regime. The last White Sox 2nd round pick that really helped the White Sox was Terry Forster. I think he was drafted in 1970.
  15. You might want to re read the press release. JR has ceded no power and won’t per the release for at least 5 years.
  16. It’s funny, he ran into trouble and wound up leaving the Cubs for telling the truth. Now he just spouts off made up crap, and because Schriffen is so over the top, it isn’t noticed as much.
  17. I don’t know how I would feel about McKnight as the full time PBP guy, but he clearly knows the game and his audience a lot better than Schriffen.
  18. Which makes sense, but the point is everyone who thought he was going to be a desired piece at the trade deadline was as wrong as KW, RH, and JR were about Pedro Grifol. It was a stupid trade. One that probably won’t matter anyway, but made little sense.
  19. He’s the guy Stone and Schriffen couldn’t emphasize enough how the Sox were going to run on. Watch how the tune changes if he puts on a White Sox uniform.
  20. When I was a kid , I was flying to see my best bud who had moved to Denver. His dad was a pilot, so I made 5 or 6 of these trips on stand by, and always wound up in first class. Once, I sat with Marlo Thomas when she was dating Phil Donahue and he had his show in Chicago. Phil was actually sitting in my seat when I boarded, talking with her.The rules were a bit more lax back then and i guess if you were famous they even let you on the plane to say goodbye. She was really sweet to me. She had 7 different types of apples she had me sampling.
  21. It’s just astonishing how the last core just fell apart. Abreu might be 45 years old so we can leave him out, but TA and Eloy are probably done with MLB. Vaughn and Madrigal are nothings. Moncada still seems to be able to hit, but certainly not at the level a top 2 or 3 overall prospect would hit, and he can’t stay on the field anyway. Robert can’t hit ,200.
