  1. Chuck works with and loves, Ozzie. Ozzie thinks and knows Pedro is a clown and probably tells Chuck that every night. This quote is ridiculous. If you have to do something, do it. Don't say you have to do it to a reporter. He's a joke, and everyone knows it except the White Sox front office.
  2. The other thing is you can trade the #1 pick, move down a spot or two get a QB, keep Fields for another season, and get some draft capital there if you like someone as much or more than Williams.
  3. He will also be 36 years old coming off a bad injury. I did read though where ATLs new OC runs an offense not so conducive to Fields strengths and that Cousins was a better fit.
  4. If you aren't getting anything for Fields, I'd keep him, just like the Chiefs did Alex Smith back in the day. Chances are, in September Fields gives you a better chance to win an NFL game than Williams. Trade him at the deadline or let him go after next season.
  5. They will never get the OK to build where they want to build.
  6. According to Bob figuring front office, coaching staff and players, the Sox have 17 ex Royals , which proves winning isn't a priority.
  7. It's where I am at, but if all of the crap he signed and traded for plays like crap, he has to take a lot of the blame. This, we were told, was a year that couldn't be wasted.
  8. It s because it's all BS. All of their projections are like Rick Hahn's team projections where nobody ever gets hurt and 26 players always put up career years.
  9. Why have Related and JR failed to tell us how we ALL will benefit from this, like they are saying we will? Why is giving filthy rich people billions of public dollars so they can be richer , while ever doing half of that for poor people a no no?
  10. Can always use an ex-Royal. At least when KW went through his phase of every player acquired had to have played for Cleveland, they won.
  11. I saw a letter to the editor that makes too much sense to happen. Have the Sox play a couple of seasons in Wrigley. If they don't draw, it might not be the ballpark or it's surroundings fault. It might just be the team itself.
  12. They have the wrong date on the line up card. Hope Pedro's train hasn't derailed. Attention to detail is a bit lacking.
  13. Apparently they don't know how these things get done. They are supposed to roll over and give the dufuses with money whatever they want.
  14. I don't want the state to lose. Why not give billions to people and let them spend it at local businesses? Of course that would be considered Socialism and a very bad thing. I don't care if JR makes money on a stadium he built and paid for.He apparently does just fine with the UC I don't mind if the state provides infrastructure. . Just look at the past, and you can see the future. GRF apparently hasn't generated what JR and the state told us it would. Wintrust Arena didn't generate what we were told it would. The Soldier Field reno was a debacle. Even JR's spring training home, built for free was supposed to be a catalyst for other development. Never happened, now 20% of Glendale's budget is paying off that place. If we used "that's how it's always done" for everything like so many want to use here, we'd still be living in caves with 20 year lifespans. Change the game.
  15. It doesn't make it right. The only ones who will make money on this would be the Reinsdorfs and Related. Again, if the stadium is a must, and the develpment nothing but a cash register, why don't they built it themselves.
  16. I think Pedro has to be better than last year, not just by wins, or he's going to be the scapegoat for a team that refuses to say they are rebuilding. He's talking like they are headed to World Series. 90 loses and they can't bring him back, especially considering most of the roster is one and done.
  17. And they have no place to build in Chicago. They will go to Arlington Heights. It the grand scheme of things, the difference is $17 million a year, which normally is a lot, but not enough to kill the project.
  18. Again, if the buildings get built, the make up of the board really won't matter too much, and who gets to appoint what could be changed. Since it is a state run thing, they probably would want Arlington Heights to have some power.
  19. They will adjust the board if they have to. ISFA is a state thing, not city thing. The Bears will be in Arlington Heights. The I stands for Illinois.
  20. Too bad. Wouldn't this be TJS #2 for him?
  21. The Bears will not be building a lakefront stadium. No way. They will be in AH.
  22. Dick Allen replied to pcq's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Lip is usually a dark cloud, but look at what we were promised, and look at what we got. At present, his dismay is more than justified. im skeptical of anything anyone says on the positive side of things. Pillar thinking this team could make the playoffs.’ Where’s Jim Mora when you need him?
  23. At least you can catch the repeat of Murray State vs. Indiana State on NBCSC right now. It's really an awful station. Very little programming except for games.
