  1. I actually believed the post about Robert getting sand embedded in his eye and going on the DL.
  2. He is out until September per my fantasy baseball projection.
  3. A team that wants to sign him long term should agree to the window and the 72 hour signing period. This is where I think the cubs could come into play.
  4. The cubs/yankees/red sox can pick him up and if he closes games successfully nobody will care.
  5. Rizzo pitching in a 7-1.....i hope that blows up on maddon
  6. He sat out all of last season what makes you think he will produce for them this season...he may re-pull that quad and that is it for the year. That dudes circle is joke.
  7. Free agency will need to be granted with much less service and time spent in the minors stay will need to be shortened....just when the White Sox begin to take advantage of this.
  8. All he needs to do is make all of the starts for the rest of this season and be healthy. To look at his stats is futile in my opinion. Same with Rodon at he MLB level.
  9. Bears programming is basically talk radio. I guess you could cover the hell out of training camp.
  10. Abreu is a terrible fielder. How he is not a full time DH is indicative to me of how this organization is run and hopefully this thought process can change during the rebuild. Defense and fundamentals are non-existent at the MLB level and they things they stress (bunting and stealing) are fairly antiquated.
  11. I would not call it trite. One year into this career with the White Sox he seems to be injured enough for it to be a issue.
  12. Seems to always be a concern for he and Micker with Eloy treading this way as well.
  13. Wouldn't this have made more sense before the draft?
  14. Everyone is infatuated with the Top 100, I included, and as more analysis and information is out there, the actual game itself is almost taking a backseat. I don't mind bunting and small ball at the lower levels as I think a little more game IQ can be useful. We saw yesterday that Moncada has no clue how to bunt.....should he ever bunt, probably not if he reaches his ceiling, but what harm is there in knowing how to? If this is who he is laying down a bunt with his speed does not hurt...as we saw though he has no chance of getting a bunt down. With a lefty on the mound and his inability to actually hit right handed a push bunt is not a bad option.
  15. Really bad move. Glad to see Kershaw seemed to have a nice start. Nats need to go get Girardi and sew up the NL title.
  16. As is the Heyward one......it doesn't seem to hurt them though.
  17. When do the Nationals fire Martinez for Joe Girardi?
  18. I agree and I know it's irrational to want them to succeed and still lose but i do.
  19. I am opening rooting against the Sox in order to get this pick. They will end up #2.
  20. You can take a risk on Porter or Young at 7 if you have the #4 if you take that risk without #4 and wait until a high pick next year you push back the rebuild and need 2019 and 2020 drafts to hit. I think #22, top 5 protected next year and a guy for #4 and salary. I think #22 and top 7 protected for next year for Carter this year makes some sense to me.
  21. A couple of things I never thought much of Anderson he seemed to be rushed and has massive flaws that should have been worked out in the minors. They guy will never have even a decent OBP. The guys at the top of the rebuild were the same guys that could not build a winning team with proven talent. I want to hope they know what they are doing maybe they do.....I liked Renteria when they hired him but not so much any more. Moncada I think will be an ok player but his defense is meh
  22. Probably the 7 and next year's 1 with protection. Bulls never really do anything creative.
  23. IMHO Fulmer was drafted because they thought they were a playoff team. That mistake was repeated when they traded for Shields. They drafted a pitcher that they thought they could use soon.
  24. How many pitchers that have sustained success in the minors fail when they reach the majors. Maybe I am wrong but the thing that seems to derail pitchers is injury not being able to transfer success in the MiLB to the MLB. If those guys stay healthy they will all have positive impacts in the majors. Fulmer had success in college but not the minors. Rodon had success everywhere but he can't stay healthy. Hitting is a gamble but pitching to me is a known entity with injury derailing everything.
