You are correct It doesn't mean anything but that is still poor baseball managing right there. -

The Indians lining up along the first base line was cool and the hug at the end really does hit hard. -

Sox had all night to talk to Steele, Madrigal and De Sedas and see if there is a chance. -
I'm on S5E8 of the Americans.....that show is intoxicating.

So the pitcher who is pitching very well will try a take out slide instead of just drilling someone. Baez could be the biggest douche in baseball in quite some time and the cubs are quietly becoming very unlikeable. Joe Maddon really believes he is the smartest man in the room. At some point soon I think he wears out his welcome there.

I think Rodon, Anderson and Fulmer will all rushed to the big leagues to try and win with Sale and Quintana. -
Imagine if Casey Mize was part of this organization a month from now....that is the silver lining. #1 pick in 2019

Both the Trib and Sun Times websites are terrible. The Sun Times has turned into a tabloid in my mind.

My guess is that she is kind of going through a mid-life adjustment and this takes her back to younger days and he is focal point of that time in her life. I think most folks do go through this the difference is how invested is she. When I reconnect wiht people from high school or college it takes you back in time to a different life and it is not necessarily that you want that person currently but they bring back waves of positive emotion. In your case Rock, what were you thoughts on your BIL's wife prior to the new friend. I have the same type of feelings for some relatives that I find to be full of shit but have felt that way since day one.

I hear more about Gary Sanchez than I do Mike Trout.

Robert Jimenez and Adolofo will always have injury concerns to me. Great news on Hansen.

Browns should trade out of #1 if they are not taking a QB there.

I don't trust this front office. While the trade for Sale, Quintana and Eaton seems to have been benefical the fact that the organizational leaders are the same that invested high draft picks in Fulmer, Collins, Hawkins, etc. They have not developed a hitter in years. Look at the current outfield. Has the development staff from a hitting side been upgraded, potentially but the top of the organization has shown no ability to be able to build and organization. They used to be good at cobbling teams together from time to time but whatever happened when Williams took over, way back when, all player development went down the drain.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 09:26 AM) On Zavala's defense, from what I've seen I'd put him ahead of Collins but not by much. In my viewings, in person and on MiLB TV, and talking with scouts, Zavala has a quick release and an average arm, and moves athletically from the position on defense. Handles pitchers well. But the sore spot for him was pitch blocking, which he has struggled with. He, like Collins, is bat-first still. But there's reason to believe the blocking can improve with time for Zavala. If it does and he can be MLB average at that, then he's an average overall defender there and that works just fine. Of all of things I think that would be easiest to correct it is blocking pitches.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 09:53 PM) Sox outfield defense rates horribly so far on defensive fWAR Don't get much worse then delmonico and avi out there.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 10:16 AM) The Sox have passed on pitchers before because of their arm action and surgery risks. Was Lucas Giolioto one of them?
